I'm another person who naturally twists legs around each other... not recently though as going to have a hip operation!

If I did that I would just topple over. No one would be looking at my ankles.

😂😂😂

Me too!

Well I've just tried it (without high heels as I don't poses any)
I can barely get my chubby legs round the back of each other grin.
But I have signed up for the Gym next week so watch this space wink

Photographers ask them to stand like that to get a better picture.

Well I just had to go upstairs to the full length mirror to try it.

Fished out my only pair of heels for authenticity.

You know it does make your ankles look slimmer.

Pity about the thighs and hips 😳

Sorry to be a bit dim, but what is BGT please?

I think it’s supposed to draw the viewers eyes down to a point at the ankle - hoping to create an optical illusion of slimness, rather than having an oblong shape of legs side by side.

Best way I can describe it.

I once read the exact thing, and that in modelling it’s one of the done things.Mind you, try telling that to the M&S tall thin models who stand with legs wide apart and feet in bovver boots to show off a Summer dress.😄

What do plaited legs look like?

Think ‘crossed’ but to the extreme - one leg almost wound completely around the other.

I was watching the start of BGT on Saturday evening and all the judges were lined up on stage.

Alesha Dixon was standing in line with the others but she had her legs ‘plaited’ in the most ridiculous way……..I have noticed other female celebrities do this when they are in full view on camera. Why? Are they bow-legged or knock kneed? I’d love to know the reason.
