Yes, I loved it too.

Yes, used to be laugh out loud funny, but feel it's getting soapy with the with new extended family in USA. Love J Etherington's work & thought Radio 4 were being admirably brave giving us a programme about a very sympathetic childless couple progressing into old age together. Then: Hey Presto! A son and daughter in law, grandkids - all of whom are absolutely wonderful. Sorry, although the acting is superb, the storyline is getting hard to believe and rather boring.

I love their eternal sparring, which is both subtle and razor sharp at the same time.

Just when Roger Allam thinks he's on a winner - for once - Joanna effortlessly pulls the rug out from under him.

I'm sure it's their very easy-on-the-ear voices that makes it.

I listened to it when it first aired but now it’s a bit hackneyed.
When it got to the stage where I could see ( in my minds eye) the two of them standing in front of the Mike reading their scripts I knew it was time to leave.

Oh dear. I loved last Monday's, but today's episode was very disappointing. Try again next week.

I agree, Helterskelter. That episode with the questionable Southern accents and the Cat on a Hot Tin Roof spoof was downright embarrassing. It could be that this is going to be the last series and our ageing couple will be packed off to the States, where they will have a (surprisingly new) family to look after them, thereby making listeners feel more comfortable about ending it.
