Band Aid/Live Aid. Great Nostalgia!

Queens performance was outstanding, it’s one of my regrets in life that I never saw them live.

I never tire of watching them perform that amazing 20 minute set.

I'm watching the documentary, When Rock and Roll took over the World. I didn't have a great opinion of Bob Geldorf before, but oh my goodness, he's sweaty but so passionate still. He's redeemed himself in my eyes

Fantastic to bring back memories, found out this weekend that my brother in law was at Live Aid.

Great memories - although I found Bob Geldof extremely irritating back then.

Watching Concorde fly over the stadium taking Phil Collins to Philadelphia was a special moment. Phil’s poster is in Aerospace Bristol.

Such a lovely memory, Grandmabatty ☺️

It was one of the most incredible musical events that I have ever been to.
It was blistering hot in the crowd and the organisers walked around spraying us with water.

We had friends to stay that weekend, before either of us had children. The sun split the sky, we watched Live Aid, ate crusty bread and pâté and drank copious amounts of alcohol. Both friends have now died and my husband and I parted ways. But I'll never forget that wonderful time

There is also a program called The Greatest Night in Pop covering the We Are The World song. I watched it on Netflix a couple of years ago. Some iconic singers on there too. Poor Bob Dylan looked like a fish out of water! Good watch.

I remember it was a really hot day because nine year old DD2 was feeling really poorly with chickenpox so I was trying to keep her cool and comfortable.

Chickenpox must have been doing the rounds then. DD2 had it (the others had had it a few years previously).
The weather was warm, she was smothered in spots and calamine lotion!

What a super programme. Really enjoyed it. What a great guy Bob Geldof is.

I watched the whole thing while 8 months pregnant with younger son. I remember it was so hot and I looked and felt like a beached whale.

Wonderful stuff

I can remember queuing up on the Monday morning after the Concert to donate for my family allowance.

We recorded the lot. We got burgled and they took the videos

It’s going to be The Carrs and I’ll have to look away. I can’t hear that song without seeing those pictures in my mind.
