Grantchester is ending! Apparently ITV have cancelled the series and are filming the final series as I post this.
Series 11 will be the last one. I'm really sad to lose this, loved it.

I enjoyed the early series' when there were interesting stories about the clashes between religion and the law of the land; but think it ran out of steam ages ago.

If they had kept it in the 50s and not tried to move with the times it might have been better, I think,

Not before time.

Like so many series, they kept milking it until it’s just a shadow of its former self.

Should have finished when James Norton left.

I agree - I love the gentleness of it and the countryside etc but it's been getting a bit silly for a while now.

I have enjoyed this series but I also think it has run it's course.

Let's hope we can welcome some new series with fresh, likeable characters.
