Much prefer it to Puzzle Lady!

What is it?

It’s another detective story where a non police man helps solve the problems, but this one has a back story running alongside it.
The first thing that registered was
“Book’s does not have an apostrophe.”
I was immediately whisked off to GN pedants posts.
The explanation was simple.
It does, because my name is Book and this is my book shop. It’s called Book’s Books.
As I said, it took me a while to get into it, but then we binge watched several episodes.

Sorry, I wasn’t clear. My fault entirely. What I was trying to ask was what is Puzzle Lady?

There was a very good review of this in The Times the other day, so it’s on my list. Can you please remind me of which channel it’s on?

I am watching it. The back story is probably the one to get into as the murders are becoming incidental. It is well written and I now want to clear up the mystery of the young man's parentage.

Unfortunately no subtitles. Ive complained as once again the Deaf and hard of hearing are ignored. Disability seems not to count.

I enjoyed it very much. Many well known faces in the series; the two young side kicks are the only real newbies I think?

Some backstories to untangle and add intrigue.
I love the bookshop set, and Mrs Book's wallpaper shop is divine, with those William Morris panels displaying wallpaper samples.

I tried to watch 'puzzle lady', but I ended up intensely disliking it.

I watched the first episode last night and found it intriguing, particularly Mark Gatiss's performance and the grammatical references, and shall continue. The subtitles were easily available.

What is U and Alibi ? I m guessing you’re on one of the pay channels are you, nothing I ve ever heard of

Have watched them all, thoroughly enjoyed it.

I do hope they make another series.

Bluebell it’s a free app, I think. I downloaded the app onto my iPad so I can watch it on here. I also have Virgin media so, by the wonders of modern technology, all has transferred over to my (very unsmart) tv. It’s worth it for this programme and other similar ones such as Chelsea Detective.

Now I have to grovel Bluebell. After writing that I thought to check and it is only available on subscription services, not Freeview etc. So sorry to mislead you.

I saw it on a free channel 'UDrama'. There's lots of good programmes on there.

Subtitles NOT available on Now only on Virgin etc. i have had response from the providers and they are “working towards” making subtitles available. How difficult is it to switch a switch. Alibi is also guilty of not providing subtitles. I will keep challenging but it shoukd be a legal requirement for Deaf people and hard of hearing to have this as a necessity and not at their behest.
