I really enjoyed Blackpool tonight. I wonder if not having the pressure of a dance off made them feel more relaxed and able to just go out and enjoy the experience.

Grandmadinosaur I thought the same, the pressure was off and they just went for it.

Loved the fabulous dancing.Really missed LaVoix. Only found out yesterday how much dancing experience Lewis has had, seems unfair, he was my favourite but now its Karen, she’s come the furthest.
I can’t see it going on much longer though

Strictly has lost its crown as the most popular show on BBC, since the Celebrity Traitors.

With Tess and Claudia jumping ship, I think a great deal of thought must be going on regarding its future.

Probably time for a complete overhaul.

My parents were very keen ballroom and Latin dancers .
I wasn't , but I did a lot of jazz and classical ballet dancing . I used to be such a fan of Strictly that I didn't want to go out when it was on .
I can recall being really frustrated with my father when he wouldn't let me watch it at a relative's house and wanted to be driven home .
My friends and I would watch Strictly WhatsApping each other through it.
Now it's boring .
I don't know the celebrities except for Alex Kingston .
I'm fed up with contestants talking about being on a journey and making friends for life apart from the hype .
Instead ,I watched the Bethany Hughes programme about Estonia and learnt new things ,which were fascinating .

I loved last night’s show. I watched with my 19 year old granddaughter who came for a “Strictly sleepover” 😀

We had a lovely evening watching the show together. We were on the family WhatsApp group with my 12 year old granddaughter 150 miles away during the show chatting about each dance. There aren’t many tv programmes that a family can enjoy together. We love it.

Sad for La Voix sitting in the audience and now excluded due to injury. I think Karen and Carlos are fabulous and I hope they win. Lewis and Amber are very entertaining but due to their previous professional dance experience I hope they don’t win.

I’ve loved Alex from the start but felt she was a bit lack lustre last night and fear she’s heading for the dance off.

I don’t care for Couples Choice at all, and didn’t enjoy Alex’s.

She didn’t get my vote this week.

It seemed neither one thing or another somehow.

Lewis and Katya’s couples choice dance was for me, the best dance of the whole series Calendargirl, so I think it depends on the actual dance. I thought they were the best last night too.

Lewis and Katya and Karen and Carlos got my votes this week. I normally spread them and Alex gets one but she wasn't so good this week.

I wasn't sure how the voting system worked, combining judges' scores with those of the public, then I found this, a kind of Dummies' Guide to Strictly Voting 😀

Nice to see some familiar faces from the past in the opening dance.

Wow what a great start to the (non) results show. Wonderful to see the returning celebs. Loved them all. Jays jive still gave me goosebumps and Danny Mac pwoar 🔥

That was a wonderful opening dance. I’d forgotten the effect Danny Mac had on me the last time he did that dance. I’ll need to look out my fan 🪭 🪭 🪭

Danny Mac , yes phwoar , I think he danced it even better and has retained his good looks despite the years that have ticked on.
I saw him dance with Oti on the Tour after Danny lost to Ore + Joanna I think.
Ed Balls was in it that year too.
