I really enjoy Strictly and will stick with it again this year. I watch it with my teenage granddaughter and we both love it. We usually go to the Strictly Professionals tour when it comes our way and it’s a fabulous show.

I had never heard of any of them mentioned above. I think it should have been given a rest this year because of the gossip and scandals.

I would keep Anton and Craig as judges but have a change of females.

I do watch it but only because there is zilch else to watch.

I think the line up is poor too and won't be making an effort to watch. I have always had one or two to root for from the start in previous years.
Were all the good celebrities snapped up by The Traitors?

A pretty poor line up compared to Bruce’s years at the helm. Still, something to watch on a winters Saturday night.

I’ve just seen the list, I know Alex Kingston and Stefan Dennis looks familiar, but no idea what for.

Saw Ellie on BBC News the other night, but hadn’t heard of her otherwise.

That’s the extent of my celeb knowledge,

Alex Kingston played Boudicca a few years ago, then I think went to work in the USA.

Don’t we always say this when the names are announced but still enjoy watching when the programme airs.
I have heard of quite a few of them. My favourite will be La Voix. She/he will win your hearts easily.

I agree TwiceasNice I am rather underwhelmed by the line up this year.

I know there are always people in it I’m not familiar with and they seem to win us over. Having watched from day one I think I shan’t bother with this series.

Also read the other day that Cheryl Baker, ex Bucks Fizz, has ‘applied’ every year to be on, but never been approached.

Unsure if that’s true though.

She would probably qualify for the ‘older lady’ spot now.

I didn't watch it last year because I was fed up with the sameness of it all. I've felt for some time it has got stale and needs shaking up

I love it but I do think some of the contestants now are very “D list” they seemed to be a lot more famous in the past

As, GG said, I don't care who the celebs are as I always enjoy it and get drawn in.

And, I expect there will people along who can't stand it and think it's rubbish TV.

And, i will add my usual comment about hoping no contestant's mother comes on the thread trying to sway our opinion. It didn't work.

Strictly calls the constants ‘stars’. Why? I, for one, haven’t heard of more than two of them and that’s a first for me. They seem to be scraping the barrel for contestants now. It’ll be the lady who cleans the loo next! Strictly is well past it’s sell-by date, and should be put to sleep!

I saw Ellie Goldstein being interviewed. She’s the first model with Downs Syndrome to feature on the cover of Vogue. She’s also an actress and plays Nancy Maher in Mallory Towers.

She’s a Strictly super fan and bursting with enthusiasm. She said rehearsals are already underway and she’s loving every minute of it.

She stated in no uncertain terms she’d love to have Nikita for her partner 😊

I know eight of them.

Really doesn’t bother me if I know all the celebrities I really enjoy the programme.
