I actually felt a bit sorry for the banks after the latest episode (crypto ‘investing’) since it was pretty obviously a scam, and the bank couldn’t possibly have done any more to warn the couple, but still had to refund their £80k.
However a new one to me was your address being used to register a company (aka scam) at Companies House. Apparently it’s rife - several houses in a street in Oldham had been used like this.
