Barry Manilow in Manchester

I actually like Manchester but for me the only thing worse would be Barry Manilow in Wetherspoons

Never really fancied him or his music (not that he cares 😂 )

Think it's a night of his music by candlelight. 20th Sept at the stoller Hall. Near Victoria station. Not the man himself. Its about £30.00.

The Manly Barrilow himself can't be there for that money.

Actually, I quite like some of his songs.

One memory is of him on TV singing "Can't Smile without You". Four year old DD watched him then announced "Mummy, he's singing that he can't smile - but he is smiling. What a silly man!".

No. My rule of thumb is if I switch the radio off when they come on, I wouldn’t want to hear more. I think Copacabana is one of the cringiest songs ever, only beaten by Seasons in the Sun.

I looked online and thought he wasn't coming to Manchester? It looked as if Liverpool was the northern venue. Hope I'm wrong, DD and I would love to go!

I saw him a few times years ago in Cardiff, he was an excellent performer then.
I wouldn’t go now, new face, no voice, I still play his old songs though.

If I ever gave a thought to BM, it would be "Oh, is he still alive?

I like the song Mandy, but he is just not my kind of performer.

I like ‘Mandy’ and ‘Could It Be Magic’.

He was of his time.

Not one of our favourites but I do like ‘I Write The Songs’, David Cassidy did a nice version. Son and Daughter In Law saw him at LAX when they were going through security, they were quite close to him and said he was tiny.

My wife went to see him live at the Palladium last June. It was his final tour. She thoroughly enjoyed the show.

He’s now doing a Last Last Tour and will be performing at the O2 and in Manchester I think. We have been going to see him for so long that we can’t give him up.

Just been mentioned on Chris Evans radio show. Seems he is doing a few gigs in UK for anyone interested tickets on sale soon

He's not doing Manchester, sadly. Unless they add a date later.

Go if you really want- better to try than regret.
