Celebrity Traitors starts tonight at 8 pm.

I'm looking forward to it, there's some reasonably good brains competing.
At least two of the contestants are pensioners - Celia Imrie (Calendar Girls, Marigold Hotel etc) and the erudite Sir Stephen Fry.

Stephen Fry is arrogant, can't stand him.

Why are you here Mojack?

Allira Sun 09-Nov-25 17:19:42

Jaxjacky

I first encountered and liked Nick on Taskmaster.
Another convert here, two of us, but I doubt we’ll watch the usual one, this was fantastic though, really enjoyed it.

I actually enjoy the non-celebrity versions slightly more. I think the fact that the participants don’t know each other adds more intrigue.

This was great fun, though in a different way.

I watched bbc1 news tonight at 6pm . Traitors last few minutes was shown , Alan confessed he was a traitor. Then a clip was shown of the celebrity contestants sitting in on the final showing of the Traitors . As Alan confessed the camera was panned onto Kate Garraway and a few others in the front row and there were shocked gasps at his revelation.
I'm confused ( and no doubt being dim ) but I thought each celebrity was shown on a scroll who the Traitors were on the night of their murder . I've watched it on the BBC2 aftershow directly after each ending . So , why are the murdered ones viewing the final so surprised . ? Someone help this confused ole lady please 🙏

Really enjoyed this. Alan Carr is soo funny, would like to go and see him live. I think your right welshpoppy, this group had brains and very amusing…it will scrape the barrow if they do too many celeb ones…yes…love island contestants, you can imagine it 😂😂😂

Celebrity Race Across the World started yesterday too.

Celebrities on Strictly, The Wheel, The Chase, University Challenge, Mastermind, Would I Lie to you, Get me out of the Rainforest etc etc

There are more celebs than ordinary members of the public now.

WelshPoppy Fri 07-Nov-25 15:58:17

Thoroughly enjoyed the Celebrity version. I watched the first series but no others. I hope they don't do a celebrity one every year as I think that would deplete the pool of really good celebrities quite quickly and it would end up with bloggers, vloggers, influencers and Love Island winners.

Nick is best known in his role in Ted Lasso. But he’s done stand up comedy and TV stuff

Allira Fri 07-Nov-25 11:52:57

I also noticed Tom Daley wasn't on the end show, although we did get another shot of his naked chest in the shower- what was that all about?

Perhaps he went home, he lives in Los Angeles so it's rather a long way to come back again.

Bluebelle Interesting, isn't it. We see celebrities in the roles they play on television, even as presenters they are acting a part. In this programme we see more of the real person, I think.

Poor Alan, he had found it so difficult being a Traitor, having to pretend to all those around him. I think Cat and Jonathan enjoyed it more 😀 Cat was particularly good - but perhaps too good as that made her a suspect.

Joe should have stuck to his intuition, he was really very astute but had misgivings at the last hurdle.

I don't know who Nick is (have to look out for him in future) but he came across as a lovely person and was upset about Joe.

David - quiet and very intelligent but in fact not as astute as Joe!

For the new converts: there are several series on the BBC iplayer from USA, New Zealand and Australia.

I started to watch Series 1 last night having been converted after this Celebrity series. I didn't find it as good and I suspect watching the previous series and then the Celebrity one is the way to go. Because you'd already be hooked.

The dynamic is very different as we know the celebrities (I think there were just 2 I hadn't encountered before) and a lot of them know each other. But I'm going to keep going.

I loved Claudia's outfits on the Celebrity series - very quirky and definitely had the Sarah Jessica Parker vibe. (But probably not what you might throw on to dash into Tesco grin).

Toetoe Fri 07-Nov-25 09:52:39

It was so good I'm going to miss it . The relief on Alans face when he confessed I think he was so pleased to be able to tell them . I love Claudia's outfits .

keepingquiet Fri 07-Nov-25 09:34:27

I agree- it is such good television and has everyone talking from young people to us oldies. Just like the telly used to be.

Gripping to the end, and I really didn't mind which one(s) were going to win.

I really hated Claudia's outfits though, especially that silly jacket although I do think she is excellent otherwise.

I also noticed Tom Daley wasn't on the end show, although we did get another shot of his naked chest in the shower- what was that all about?

BlueBelle Fri 07-Nov-25 08:57:21

I ve watched every series of Traitors since it started i was hooked from day one I wasn’t really looking forward to this too much I couldn’t stand Alan Carr ( I ve warmed to him ) Jonathon Ross Clare Balding Stephen Fry and not too keen on Tom Daley however they have all come over so much nicer and acceptable in this than I was expecting
Joe has been an inspiration, very intuitive I also really liked Cats quiet determination and light leadership David who I love was quieter than I expected but all in all they were all wonderful Sorry Paloma went out so early she s so comical she could have entertained so much more
Many people who ve never watched before seem converted
Roll on the next Traitors

travelsafar Fri 07-Nov-25 08:47:26

I loved it. The final task was brilliant 👏
Well done to who ever thought it up.
I remember watching the 1st traitors and it annoyed me so much I didn't watch any further series. But this one because Alan was in it I couldn't miss. Love him to bits, such a funny personality. He was great fun all the way through. 😊

merlotgran Fri 07-Nov-25 08:46:14

For me it was more enjoyable because they were all high profile celebrities. I get a bit irritated when I spend most of a show (like Strictly) wondering who they are and why they’ve been chosen to take part.

GrannyGravy13 Fri 07-Nov-25 08:40:05

This is the first series of Traitors I have watched.

Definitely a convert, looking forward to the next series.

Maremia Fri 07-Nov-25 08:24:58

Loved it. Loved the castle and Claudia's outfits.
Breakfast looked delish.
And yes, I have that tea set, Old Country Roses.

ginny Thu 06-Nov-25 23:31:11

Brilliant!

Deedaa Thu 06-Nov-25 23:14:58

Joe really was the one who had the clearest view of what was going on, but everyone kept getting deflected And Alan really did play a blinder. When he was picked at the beginning I just thought "Well he won't last 5 minutes" but here we are.

Casdon Thu 06-Nov-25 22:38:56

Joe must be kicking himself for voting for Cat. I enjoyed it though, a really excellent final.

kittylester Thu 06-Nov-25 22:37:17

Well, Joe will be a winner in terms of raising his profile and in my eyes.
