What's happened to tonight's quizzes?

Next summer is the World Bore, sorry Cup, now with 48 teams playing, so there'll be even more of this tedious sport on the television. I hope it's a red hot summer as I will be avoiding it like the plague.

Because it's FOOTBALL! It takes over everything usually English Premier League in which I have no interest! Infuriates me...

I watched them tonight - thanks everyone!

Just to make sure people know where Quiz Night is hiding

Oh! Sorry just noticed it has been posted up thread that quiz night is tonight.

As you were.

Good news! They are on tonight.

I am currently confined to barracks and seeing this I am inordinately pleased.

That’s this evening sorted. smile

And ironically, I’m out tomorrow. At a quiz.

Thank goodness for iplayer. smile

I did two rounds of crochet whilst watching a recording of Mortimer and Whitehouse.

Then snipped off the wrong yarn, the colours are very similar in the electric light!

I’m annoyed with myself because instead of doing something productive I’ve been aimlessly scrolling on my phone while DH watches the football. Unfortunately, today’s the day I decided to set up Screen Time on my phone to help me cut down on the time I spend online. It’s not been a good start… grin

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I settled for a film on Netflix. Thanks for your replies.

I felt the same!!
However, I did watch an intriguing film instead called Rosalie (it's French and about a woman with a beard- but is beautifully filmed and I found the ending very touching) so I can't complain as they are on tomorrow when there's never anything to watch Tuesdays usually.

I could have stayed out and had supper with a friend instead of racing back to watch my beloved quizzes .
They punctuate my week.
I also usually watch Call My Bluff and Face The Music afterwards .
I guess that most people really love football .
I've tried to .
I hate it .
I'm having my love/hate relationship with Lynley this evening.
I can never quire make my mind up about it .

Yes.

BBC3? If it's still going.

I find it so annoying when they hijack BBC1 or BBC2 for sport. It seems to happen a lot.
Wouldn't it be better if they put sport on one channel like they do with children's programmes? It would save me saying a few choice words!

Allira Mon 13-Oct-25 20:12:10

DH assures me that they are on tomorrow evening instead.

He's watching the football.

I was quite miffed about that too, but have settled for BBC 4 instead, then switching to U &drama at 8pm for Inspector Linley.

Grammaretto Mon 13-Oct-25 19:50:03

I switched on BBC 2 to settle to watch 3 quizzes in a row while I knit and find only football.

Is there a reason? Can anyone explain please? How come NI playing Germany is more important than Mastermind, Only Connect and University Challenge?
