Just way through the first episode of La Forêt des disparus.

thank you so much, OP, its tops!

We watched and enjoyed The Intruder. I enjoy French dramas very much. I couldn't watch Balthazar though. I have to look away at the gory bits, which meant that I couldn't read the subtitles, so lost the plot somewhat.

I'll look out for Les Jeune meres as well. Thank you for that.

What a wonderful tribute to a fabulous actor. He seemed like someone you would have no problem in going to of you needed any help. Possibly because of the parts he played , but I like to think he was like that in real life.

I was also saddened by the death of Tcheky Karyo - he was so good in the Missing and Baptiste.

I was going to create a post about him but found this first, fortunately.

Found a post about him on Facebook. Somebody wrote "He carried silence like a language of its own. Few actors could make stillness feel so alive." which I thought was apt.

Must look out for La Forêt des disparus.

Yet another Spiral fan here, good to know some of the cast from that are in this one, certainly a reason to watch, thanks for the heads up. Right now I'm watching another French series, The Intruder on BBC IPlayer.

Sorry to read about the death of Tcheky Karyo, who I recognise from many series.

Thank you for posting, another Spiral lover here, there seem to be fewer French series on tv. I can't wait to see Les Disparu...

We saw this one recently in our local independent cinema, I understand it's been released by Curzon. I also see that it's on YouTube. It's a beautiful, sympathetic film about young mothers in a care setting, good to see provision still available in some places......! Les Jeunes Meres.

It sounds interesting, we will have to try it. We always enjoyed watching TchekyKaryo’s performances. A great loss and quite young at 72 to die.

I miss Spiral, it was so gripping but I could follow the story line Recently we have watched numerous TV drama series and become totally confused because of continuous changes from past to present and too many characters who look like each other. Also it is hard to see what is happening when so many of the scenes are in very poor light. Perhaps we are getting too old to cope with such complicated plots.

Tchéky Karyo, the actor died a couple of days ago. How sad. I enjoyed lots of his work.

He was a great actor - I rather wished we'd have got another series of "Missing". Apparently, one of the highest paid actors in the world - but never really a "celebrity".

I did too Grandmasue Baptiste a favourite.

Les Disparus de la Forêt-Noire, found it!

I loved Spiral. I think it's one of the few series my OH and I enjoyed together. I think I must have seen it about 4 times. I also enjoyed Candice Renoir on Acorn, a very pretty Spiral police drama, but with comedy, gorgeous setting and good looking actors. Not gritty like Spiral but I've been waiting for the last 2 series to be released in the UK, no luck so far.

Thank you for the top tip!
I loved Spiral.

Oo, thank you. Spiral especially was superb.

I forgot to say it’s on AmazonPrime.

What station is this on please? I loved Thierry Goddard in Spiral, would be great to watch him again.

Have enjoyed this short French series, about a dozen bodies being found near the French German border in a mass grave. They are all men and both French and German. Thierry Goddard, Grégory Fitoussi and Tchéky Karyo are three of the main actors, which is so good. I’ve missed them all.
