I discovered this documentary over the weekend when I was under the weather and looking for something to watch. It is about Chefs who are trying to gain a Michelin Star or a further Michelin Star or retain an existing star or stars. Aspiring chefs are followed in the period leading up to the Michelin Star Awards, the first few episodes are restaurants in New York City, London, Ireland and Scandinavia, the next episode will be in Mexico. The food featured is amazing, each dish a work of art and the restaurant owners’ hard work and struggles are inspiring.

Thanks for the heads up on this.

As a self confessed “foodie” this is right up my street.

I have been fortunate enough to eat at Michelin starred restaurants a few times.
The best was L’Enclume in Cartmel.

The work that has gone in to each dish is incredible.

We are booked in at Winteringham Fields later this month, I am so looking forward to the experience.

I’m loving this series. I bet the staff rejoiced when Tony Parkin left The House!

I must look for this. DGS2 is a sous chef in a local Michelin starred Restaurant and we know how much goes into dish they prepare.

His boss has been offered lots of money to appear on TV but refuses as he says that would ramp up the pressure and stop his love of the job.

It’s not hard to find, it is Number 10 in the Top 10 TV Shows on Apple TV. You are spot on about the pressure, you can see the enormous pressure these chefs are under in the episodes.

I did feel for the young boy he berated constantly.
