I’ve just watched this on line and as the grandmother of teenage boys it bought tears to my eyes, and I always swerve adverts whenever possible. I’m sure it will touch a chord with many parents with teenage boys, especially dads!

There is the spoof one by Sam Clegg (he does one every year) with the young couple, ending with the wife (older) at her husbands grave.

The authentic John Lewis ad, is with a man and his teenage son, the dad is reminiscing about his clubbing days

Hope I can miss all of them especially the Sam Clegg one. Christmas is such a struggle now without DH, that would be the last thing I need,
