We watched Rising Damp and The Likely Lads last night

I meant Steptoe and Son. Stupid autocorrect on the 'phone.

The Virginian. I just loved James Drury and that wry smile of his.

I've just been watching Don't Wait Up which was being re run on one of the more obscure channels. OK the plots and scripts were pretty clunky, but the performances by Nigel Havers, Tony Britton and Dinah Sheridan, are a joy to watch. Tony Britton can show so many emotions with the raise of an eyebrow!

There's a lot of vintage programmes on it ie
The Beverley Hillbillies and Bewitched .
If you are dog mad there's That's My Dog .

I still love The Avengers ,the Persuaders and the Professionals .
I watch some programmes ,which aren't that old Morse ,Lewis and Endeavour and long for more .
The newer detective programmes are so disappointing . I've tried to watch them ,but end up changing channels.

I saw Bewitched today when I was channel hopping but don’t know what channel it was on….

Though of course with Columbo we always knew who’d done it.

Dad’s Army is the only comedy that has held its humour for me.
As we were a horsey family I loved watching Follyfoot with our children.

I loved Z cars, can still recall the theme tune. Dixon of Dock Green. And a few years later I enjoyed The Generation Game, Opportunity Knocks, and Upstairs Downstairs.

I liked Rising Damp, Stephen & Son, & Not the Nine O'clock News, then
The Big Breakfast, Red Dwarf and Trigger Happy TV.

Perhaps we were more easily pleased back in the day.

Even some of Morecambe & Wise seems unfunny now.

Comedy shows I thought funny years ago don’t seem very comical now, for some reason.

The Kenny Everett Show can still be seen on one of the Freeview channels.

Z cars. Emergency Ward 10. Really showing my age now.

I recall quite clearly being furious when Emergency Ward 10 was taken off the air, just because the American president had been assassinated!
Dr Kildare was another one I loved, an English teacher was the image of RC, he was very popular.

Too many to list. I loved Man About The House with lovely Richard O'Sullivan. Not hilarious but I loved the fashions. If we watch repeats now I say to DH, 'I had dress/coat/shoes like that.'
Also The Lovers with Paula Wilcox and Richard Beckinsale (Jeffrey Bubbles Bon Bon).
