Kingdom: David Attenborough’s new series

Loving this series and how animals battle for supremacy. The wild dogs are so well organised and loyal to the pack. Kudos to them.

I am loving the program as will my granddaughter who wants to be a large animal vet.

I’ve always been fond of hunting dogs and hyenas. The way hunting dogs look after their own makes me realise why I love dogs so much. I need to rewatch episode three as I nodded off part way through. I hadn’t realised how all of the carnivores attacked each other; I thought it was just male lions that took over another pride. Or that predators hunted at night. I remember starting to watch a documentary that showed lions hunting elephants at night ( had to stop watching )but I thought that was just peculiar to that particular pride. I find the safari channel far less stressful than this series.It is so good, though. Years ago I used to follow the documentaries about Echo the elephant and it broke my heart when she died even though it was from old age and it was a life well lived.

Just when you think the lions are the winners and nobody can beat them……….

I’m really impressed with this documentary.
