Isn’t it nice to know that we’re not being brain washed.

Maybe the BBC has given the elbow to those hundreds of smug, jobs for life news people.

Our local award winning BBC News North West is excellent. But BBC News is pretty dire.

Did anyone see Sebastian Gorka on the Politics Show yesterday? He was as obnoxious as Trump (he’s his deputy assistant) but possibly with more brain cells. He didn’t answer one question, but tried to belittle the host and the studio guests. He didn’t seem to understand the concept of censorship. He was born in London to Hungarian parents, but is now a US citizen. He now has no allegiance to the UK whatsoever. No surprise that Trump likes him.

Trump and co. don't like Europe. Ever since Trump became Potus they have been trying to undermine the UK and other countries.
We had Vance spouting about free speech outside abortion clinics an in the first months.
Trump needs to put his own country in order and stop toadying to Putin.

IMO Trump really admires Putin, and I dare say wishes he had the same powers of sending murder squads to eliminate anyone he doesn’t like, or who dares to question him.

Well, Trump's astonishing attack on Europe I on the BBC news now!

Has he completely lost the plot?
It would be laughable if he wasn't so powerful.

Indeed. Terrifying stupidity.

Trump declaring that America considers Europe (including the UK) the enemy needs a lot of coverage.

However why the news channels cover trump when he just telling lies about food pricesI coming down etc etc I don’t understand.

I don’t think any one thing dominates news headlines. I follow BBC, Sky, and ITV, and they all operate rolling headlines to keep people interested, with a ‘live’ content running for major news stories. BBC often has major news stories a little while before the other channels though.

I completely agree with you, Cabbie21. Far too often on a Monday, the 6pm TV News is largely taken up with something that will be shown that same evening on Panorama. And when someone even vaguely associated with the 'meedya' dies, one can guarantee lengthy paeans on BBC News.

Not sure about the BBC but Sky News seems to have Trump on every day. I don’t remember other presidents being on tv all the time.

( Other channels are available.)
What do you expect to see on the main news bulletins?
I expect to read /see the main events, both national and international, with general coverage of everything, unless there really is some huge story breaking.

Recently the BBC seems to latch on to something and it dominates the whole bulletin, at the expense of other news.
A few days ago it was the World Cup Draw, another day it might be the weather, or the anniversary of something awful. What happened to balance?
