I'm in the middle of it right now. You can tell it's not exactly riveting as I'm scrolling in GN. Too long, too boring and too disappointing. Jean's been on the Mountjaro by the looks of it though.

Shez1955

Nothing much else on to watch so I persevered but not that great.

I just kept telling them what to do but they couldn't hear me!

It's escapism!

Predictable storyline , not the best acting but we enjoy it.

Curlywhirly did you know it’s filmed in Malta not France?

Yes, I did! But I think they make a good job of making Malta look French. 🙂

It was a load of old rubbish really, but I love all the main characters, so I did actually enjoy it.

I do normally quite like the Madame Blanc series, despite the stories being a bit silly (no policeman would discuss ongoing cases with a member of the public!)

It seems to be the latest genre, book, TV series etc, that no police officer can solve a murder without being pointed in the right direction by an intuitive member of the public!

I do normally quite like the Madame Blanc series, despite the stories being a bit silly (no policeman would discuss ongoing cases with a member of the public!), but the scenery is lovely and the sun always shines. But this Christmas Special was really disappointing; the whole story was far-fetched and the reactions of the various visitors to their dilemma was very strange. Still, it was easy watching and I do like the 'regular' characters.

I did think it a bit odd that Dom would take time to wash his hands so thoroughly. Wouldn't be high on your list of priorities in that situation. 😃
It was all rather strange.

It was actually disappointing.

I thought it was one of the worst programs ever…. But we kept watching to the end. A perverse enjoyment in a way.
How could anyone twitter on so much with a bomb about to go off ? This was an unconvincing plot.

It’s taped. Looking forward to the end of Christmas chaos to relax and watch it.

Kate1949 Tue 23-Dec-25 23:19:09

Definitely

Allira Tue 23-Dec-25 23:16:36

Sometimes you need something like this, a bit of daftness amongst all the misery on TV sometimes.

Kate1949 Tue 23-Dec-25 23:11:56

We watch it. It's predictable and silly but rather comforting.

Allira Tue 23-Dec-25 23:01:02

It certainly was escapist nonsense

Telling everyone to stay together in the room where there was a ticking bomb? I'd ignore that and go to the farthest end of the building! Sorry Madame Blanc 😁

At least it wasn't a repeat
Or a Celebrity Special

Yes enjoyed it, we both guessed who it was

nadateturbe Tue 23-Dec-25 22:26:40

Yes, we enjoyed it, but I also thought it a bit slow. We also just watched Sister Boniface Christmas special 2022, which was very funny. It's nice to have some lighthearted programs.

Borrheid55 Tue 23-Dec-25 22:11:51

We watched it as we have watched previous episodes. Thought this one was a bit slow. I worked out whodunnit much to my DH’s surprise!

merlotgran Tue 23-Dec-25 21:05:09

Anyone else watching this on Channel 5?

I do like a bit of escapist nonsense and the characters are now quite endearing.
