Anyone up for a Traitors thread?

I think I read that the murder message actually takes place in the morning. It's always the same room so presumably the castle. I don't think Marriott hotel rooms are furnished in that style! Although I can't work out how the murdered contestant doesn't know what's happening before they enter the room.

Allira Sun 04-Jan-26 13:20:28

It's obviously highly edited so we have to assume much.

They overnight at The Marriott Hotel near Inverness Airport, obviously kept apart until they travel back to the castle for breakfast...

Ok, ta, so where do they get their ‘murdered’ message?

What happens after everyone is driven home? Do the traitors travel back to the castle or do they never leave till after the turret meeting?

Do they all stay overnight in different premises?

I have a few questions:-
What happens after everyone is driven home? Do the traitors travel back to the castle or do they never leave till after the turret meeting?
Where is the room used to film a faithful reading their murder letter? It looks like the castle, but haven’t they already left for the night?
Where do all the contestants stay so they can’t contact each other?
How does the programme manage to keep it all secret until it’s on air? It’s obviously filmed during the Summer.
I’ve also thought it seems a bit creepy filming contestants in their rooms, but they must have agreed to it!

I wonder if it is Harriet. She wasn't seen on camera a lot but spoke out against Hugo loud and clear. What better way to convince others you are a faithful than to get the first traitor out.

Good point. I hadn’t thought of that. I originally thought Fiona and then Ellie when she mentioned the secret traitor, but it looks as if there is another contender.

TiggyW Sun 04-Jan-26 12:23:42

I think the secret traitor is a mature woman, so Harriet, Fiona or Amanda? I may be completely wrong. I was trying to figure out where Claudia stopped to touch their shoulder, but no luck. The handwriting looked female, but it could be disguised. I would have used capital letters! It’s a great twist because now all the viewers are also in the dark.

I record it and only watch the breakfast reveals, the tasks (which are pretty good) and the round table. I can't be bothered watching them all speculating and talking nonsense. I do like Claudia. She manages to be both stern but also kind and good fun.

I really enjoyed last night. I felt a bit more clued up last night with the names and who’s who.

I love that it’s a programme enjoyed by all 3 generations of the family and we continue to chat about it between episodes.

I wondered if Amanda and Fiona could be a couple. With no foundation or logic at all - The Traitors tends to make me suspect all sorts of nonsense. smile

MiniMoon Sun 04-Jan-26 10:02:40

I think that the secret traitor is someone tall. I also think it's a woman, so I'm betting on Ellie. She has been very quiet, and hasn't spoken at the round tables. That being said, Roxy is quite tall too.

GillyMo Sun 04-Jan-26 09:57:47

I do wonder if Harriet and Amanda might be sisters. After Harriet's eloquent speech against Hugo I noticed that she has a mannerism that reminds me of Amanda. They are both very intelligent women. We haven't been shown much interaction between the pair of them.

I think it would be great if Harriet, Amanda and Fiona were all related in some way. Very Macbeth! This is certainly a female led cast this time with Rachel proving to be extremely astute as well. Loving it.

BlueBelle Sun 04-Jan-26 09:52:32

Fiona and Harriet are way too obvious
Could it be Judy s daughter ( who’s name has disappeared ) oh yes Roxey

foxie48 Sun 04-Jan-26 09:08:49

I did think the figure in the red cloak last night looked a bit like Ross but I still think, on balance, that it's a woman. I'd like it to be Fiona, but are we seeing too much of her and being fed a "red herring"?

Sparklefizz Sun 04-Jan-26 08:45:52

What a brilliant episode! I'm going to watch it again today to see if I missed anything.

Harriet was brilliant at the round table. I felt like shouting "Go girl".

Whoever is the secret traitor didn't choose to be that, so it may be someone completely unlikely, but it's someone left-handed judging by the glimpse we saw of the person writing. Would be hilarious if it is Ross !

BlueBelle Sun 04-Jan-26 08:36:13

Yes Hugo didn’t do it for me probably clever but didn’t seem wise whereas Fiona and Harriet seem savvy to me.
I ve not read anything about Ross and Ellie on FB and there’s plenty o chewing over and theories on there

I m going for Ellie being ‘secret’ Santa !! sorry secret traitor
🤣🤣🤣

foxie48 Sun 04-Jan-26 08:20:23

Anyone else pleased to see the back of Hugo? Smug or what? I'm not sure Ellie said Secret traitor, I heard secret and traitor in the same sentence but I'd need to wind back to check what she actually said. I'm really enjoying it!

Allira Sat 03-Jan-26 22:55:05

Oh!

And it is thought (media gossip!) that Ross and Ellie may be a couple in real life.

benjamina Sat 03-Jan-26 22:50:51

It was at the end of the show. She was talking to one contestant (male) think it was Ross. Can't wait for Wednesday!!

Did anyone pick up on Ellie saying about the secret traitor? Is it common knowledge that there is one?

Did she say that in front of others or just in the interview room to camera?

It was at the end of tonight's episode. She was talking about being shy then said about a 'secret traitor' how did she know there is one?

Oooh so she did, have just been back to have a look...

singingnutty Sat 03-Jan-26 22:33:26

Started watching Celebrity Traitors not having watched before. I got hooked but DH was trying to say it was rubbish. However, he got hooked as well so now we are watching this current one and loving it.
