New thread.

I’m intrigued to see what develops in the Jim McDonald story and if he’s linked in some way to the Driscolls. I’ve avoided all possible online spoilers and avert my gaze from the tv magazines in shops. So I’m completely clueless (not unusual for me) and looking forward to seeing what unfolds.

The baby doorstep drop off is utterly ridiculous. Within seconds Carla had the baby inside and removed her outdoor clothing like she’d just taken delivery of a food takeaway.

Calendargirl Tue 03-Mar-26 11:11:42

Who is going to look after baby Connie?

Carla at the factory, Lisa in the police station?

Or maybe silly Betsy, as she never seems to be at work or at college.

Calendargirl Tue 03-Mar-26 11:13:48

No doubt, Granny will be unable to look after her after her surgery, so Connie will stay with Auntie Carla and probably end up being adopted by her.

Hope this latest storyline doesn’t mean the return of the dreadful Bobby.

I read that Todd in real life has just celebrated his 45th birthday, On the set, if he stays with Theo he will feel like 90 especially if he is abandoned again with no money and little food. I would be asking George for cash in hand or open another account but with what?

I wish he would move out, but where? Maybe in with George.

That baby dump was the last straw.

Doodledog Wed 04-Mar-26 05:15:05

All he needs to do is open anew account and ask George to pay his salary into that one. Or ring the bank and ask for a new cash card. I know he’s scared of Theo, but he does have options.

Agree with this Doodlebug about Todd. And he could move back to the house he shared with Eileen all those years.

Jodie becomes more sinister with every episode.

Jodie becomes more sinister with every episode.

I keep hoping that someone who treads in the dog poo she refuses to pick up will take it round to David's house and hand it to her.

Well, I suppose Adam charged round there the other day complaining about his shoes, but because they were all stressed out about the ongoing saga with baby Harper, he was left feeling he was at fault.

The responsibility rests with David surely, as it’s his dog.

But no one gives tuppence about the issue, of course.

At the risk of sounding heartless, I don’t feel we need so many children in the Street, too many storylines about babies, especially sick ones.

Now baby Connie has appeared, (with a cough). Hope she isn’t another hospital dash storyline.

Nasty Lou has had a personality transplant since being in prison.

Apparently we are being pushed to one side tomorrow, Friday to make way for sport. I have no idea when tomorrow's episode will be shown.

So pleased Todd stood up to Theo last night.

He is so awful, belittling Todd at every opportunity.

And how a grown man can be so childish about his birthday! Anyone would think he was 5.

I wonder why Maggie seems so keen on Lauren getting back on track with Ollie when she hated the thought of them being together. A previous poster thought there may be a link between Maggie and the MacDonalds. What if she had an affair with Jim and Ben was the result. That would make him and Steve half-brothers and make Amy a cousin of Ollie's. Not illegal but not ideal either. I'm probably wide of the mark but this is Corrie!

I gave up East Enders because it was all so miserable.
Tonight, having watched Corrie since I was 8, I sadly switched it off. It's become such a crime- and misery - fest.

Charleygirl5 Tue 10-Mar-26 22:20:44

I hope that Theo stays away but being Corrie, I doubt it. I hope that Todd will now have some money in his pocket.

Doodledog Tue 10-Mar-26 22:47:01

Where is Todd’s money? Has it been being paid into Theo’s account so he can ‘look after it’?

Bukkie Tue 10-Mar-26 22:48:07

Sarnia - I think you are spot on with the MacDonald link.

Yes, it's a shame, isn't it? Those who post here soldier on with the storylines and wonder what the scriptwriters have on their cornflakes. We look back fondly on the characters we could relate to and laugh with, not the murderers and bullies around every corner we have today.
There are unsavoury characters in real life but Corrie is overloaded with those who are plotting something unpleasant. Oh for the days of Hilda and her flying ducks.

Aveline Wed 11-Mar-26 08:40:53

We complained about Hilda and her 'muriel' at the time though!
I think Todd is coming nicely to the boil and suspect fireworks soon.

Charleygirl5 Wed 11-Mar-26 08:44:34

Doodledog that is what I thought happened to Todd's salary. At least he will not have to take days off work because his face has been bruised. Theo will be back, I am sure.

I wish that female paedophile would take a bus somewhere and stay away. That script has been going on for too long.

How long is Connie supposedly staying with Carla and co.? It gets sillier as the weeks go by.

Aveline Wed 11-Mar-26 08:45:21

I had to Google who Connie was!

Primrose53 Wed 11-Mar-26 08:49:11

I was so pleased to see that Todd finally showed some sense last night and didn’t run after Theo. The sooner he is gone the better!

Grannynannywanny Wed 11-Mar-26 08:52:07

I’m worried about what Todd will do to the vile Theo. Not that I care 2 hoots about Theo but I fear poor Todd will end up in court after a violent attack.

I was willing him on to tell Gary what was really going on last night but Gary was left none the wiser. If only Eileen was still around. She’d have picked up on it months ago and dealt with Theo.

Charleygirl5 Wed 11-Mar-26 08:56:04

I agree and George has his own problems trying to keep a dwindling business running.

When Todd got up to go to the door, I was shouting, "Let him go, just let him go". Theo will be back, nastier than ever.

My thoughts are the same as yours Sarnia that's why. Maggie is pushing Lauren to get back with Will
