New thread.

I gave up East Enders because it was all so miserable.
Tonight, having watched Corrie since I was 8, I sadly switched it off. It's become such a crime- and misery - fest.

I wonder why Maggie seems so keen on Lauren getting back on track with Ollie when she hated the thought of them being together. A previous poster thought there may be a link between Maggie and the MacDonalds. What if she had an affair with Jim and Ben was the result. That would make him and Steve half-brothers and make Amy a cousin of Ollie's. Not illegal but not ideal either. I'm probably wide of the mark but this is Corrie!

So pleased Todd stood up to Theo last night.

He is so awful, belittling Todd at every opportunity.

And how a grown man can be so childish about his birthday! Anyone would think he was 5.

Apparently we are being pushed to one side tomorrow, Friday to make way for sport. I have no idea when tomorrow's episode will be shown.

Sarnia

Grannynannywanny

Jodie becomes more sinister with every episode.

I keep hoping that someone who treads in the dog poo she refuses to pick up will take it round to David's house and hand it to her.

Well, I suppose Adam charged round there the other day complaining about his shoes, but because they were all stressed out about the ongoing saga with baby Harper, he was left feeling he was at fault.

The responsibility rests with David surely, as it’s his dog.

But no one gives tuppence about the issue, of course.

At the risk of sounding heartless, I don’t feel we need so many children in the Street, too many storylines about babies, especially sick ones.

Now baby Connie has appeared, (with a cough). Hope she isn’t another hospital dash storyline.

Nasty Lou has had a personality transplant since being in prison.

Agree with this Doodlebug about Todd. And he could move back to the house he shared with Eileen all those years.

Doodledog Wed 04-Mar-26 05:15:05

All he needs to do is open anew account and ask George to pay his salary into that one. Or ring the bank and ask for a new cash card. I know he’s scared of Theo, but he does have options.

Charleygirl5 Tue 03-Mar-26 11:50:58

I read that Todd in real life has just celebrated his 45th birthday, On the set, if he stays with Theo he will feel like 90 especially if he is abandoned again with no money and little food. I would be asking George for cash in hand or open another account but with what?

I wish he would move out, but where? Maybe in with George.

That baby dump was the last straw.

Calendargirl Tue 03-Mar-26 11:13:48

No doubt, Granny will be unable to look after her after her surgery, so Connie will stay with Auntie Carla and probably end up being adopted by her.

Hope this latest storyline doesn’t mean the return of the dreadful Bobby.

Calendargirl Tue 03-Mar-26 11:11:42

Who is going to look after baby Connie?

Carla at the factory, Lisa in the police station?

Or maybe silly Betsy, as she never seems to be at work or at college.

I’m intrigued to see what develops in the Jim McDonald story and if he’s linked in some way to the Driscolls. I’ve avoided all possible online spoilers and avert my gaze from the tv magazines in shops. So I’m completely clueless (not unusual for me) and looking forward to seeing what unfolds.

The baby doorstep drop off is utterly ridiculous. Within seconds Carla had the baby inside and removed her outdoor clothing like she’d just taken delivery of a food takeaway.

^Ah so Jim MacDonald is dead, so he is!^

nanaK54 I found myself reading that in Jim’s voice, so I did 😆

Ah so Jim MacDonald is dead, so he is!

Thought the quick covering up of the 'Marry Me' display was quite amusing.

Baby story is just ridiculous, as if you can just 'deliver' a baby to an Auntie like that...

I suppose we will have to re-visit the Will/Megan and Theo/Todd storylines very soon...it all feels very disjointed these days.

Charleygirl5 Mon 02-Mar-26 13:24:55

I can't believe Theo is still there. I am sure he will be injured any day soon. I can't stand the sight of him or Jodie a conniving bitch.

Grannynannywanny Mon 02-Mar-26 09:02:19

The Shona and Jodie actors are well matched in appearance. Even sometimes when Jodie speaks her voice sounds just like Shona’s.

I’m starting to lose interest now waiting to hear her back story. She’s a very devious cuckoo in David and Shona’s nest. I hope David doesn’t give in to temptation and fall for her flirting.

Clawdy Mon 02-Mar-26 08:40:34

Hope the Jodie storyline doesn't go on much longer, but it probably will.

Bukkie Sat 28-Feb-26 11:22:06

Sorry if my post has caused confusion. I don't know anyone who is leaving and even if I did I wouldn't say. What I meant was, that we seem to lose good characters like Paul and keep the dross like Gemma.

Doodledog Fri 27-Feb-26 22:04:47

Please don’t say who is leaving- it spoils it for those of us who don’t read soap news☺️. Speculating about what might happen is one thing, but if we know someone is going it kills any suspense.

Bukkie Fri 27-Feb-26 17:22:30

As far as I am aware Sally and Adam aren't leaving, but they are underused. Sorry for the confusion.

Charleygirl5 Fri 27-Feb-26 17:13:41

I automatically assumed, wrongly, that Jodie had been in Emmerdale which I had never watched but as others have said, there was no explanation, and she is well settled now.

I didn't realise Sally and Adam are leaving.

Jodieb Fri 27-Feb-26 14:52:02

Shona would have known she took off wedding ring (along with a load of other rings) so how would it have been really deep in a chair that we never see her sitting in? Haha

Calendargirl Fri 27-Feb-26 13:32:13

There’s no hope for those of us who don’t watch Emmerdale if BlueBelle, who does, still doesn’t know where Jodie fits in.
