"hey Bananarama" was the best line this evening grin

Charlie girl Corrie is a little under 22minutes with fast moving the dinosaur and the ads.

Charleygirl5 Tue 21-Apr-26 21:39:31

Theo and Carl are equally nasty. Carl is determined to thrash the hotel if he can't get 50% by his scheming devious ways. If he does this to his mother, what would he do to a stranger?

Grannynannywanny Tue 21-Apr-26 21:04:11

Why on earth didn’t Summer report Theo’s threats to the police? Instead she confides in George who then tells Theo he’s lucky Summer didn’t report him to the police 🙄

Calendargirl Tue 21-Apr-26 21:00:29

Another quick Corrie recovery.

Carl lying on his bed of pain in hospital last night, then up and about next day, boozing away in the hotel.

What on earth was Carla wearing at her hen night, dress wise?

Not too flattering.

I suspect they were spot covers Lily had. I have seen them in shops.

That's what I thought as well BlueBelle I remember the teenage dramas about spots, the end of the world at the time smile

BlueBelle Tue 21-Apr-26 10:20:45

I thought Lily had put some little spot plasters on, they were a weird colour though

How did Debbie know immediately (after the phone call that rudely interrupted her full English) that Ronnie had attacked Carl? It could have been some random thug or someone contracted to attack him, but Debbie knew straightaway. A bit far-fetched. Also - although the make-up artist used the right colours/shading around Carl’s injured left eye, there was no swelling at all and no residual bruising elsewhere on his perfectly bone-structured face. He’d received a hell of a thumping so the make-up didn’t go far enough. AND! I’m on a roll now - the spots on David’s daughter’s (Lily?) face the other day - very unrealistic. They looked like 3 large dark grey dots - not like spots/pimples at all! Did she paint them on herself? Moan over. I’m actually quite enjoying Corrie at the moment, even though I still complain about it.

I thought Theo acted well last night. I have no idea when Will will see the light unless Megan does a moonlight flit telling nobody where she is going.

I am enjoying this week but loathe the 1/2 hour episodes. I haven't checked, football has not been on for a couple of nights!

I agree with you about Theo. When he first appeared in Corrie his acting left a lot to be desired but he is so much better now. His air of menace is almost tangible.

A half hour is over in a flash

Some episodes, that’s a relief.

Did David always speak in that long, drawn out way that he uses now? It’s quite irritating to listen to.

Aveline Tue 21-Apr-26 06:40:06

Given that there are such fraught storylines, I wish the one hour episodes were back. A half hour is over in a flash.

Doodledog Tue 21-Apr-26 05:08:29

If Will finds the book in the bin he might see the light?

I’m quite looking forward to this week, but at the same time I wish it was over and we could go back to less fraught storylines.

Grannynannywanny Tue 21-Apr-26 00:36:35

I noticed when Theo confronted Summer in the shop she had just brought up Carl’s number on her phone.

I was hoping the call had connected and he might find a lengthy voicemail recording of the conversation between Theo and Sumner. Then again, maybe I have an overactive imagination 😆

Sarnia Tue 21-Apr-26 00:14:33

Poor Summer. Theo and Carl both giving her a dreadful time. Megan dumping Will's, Paris for Lovers guide book in the bin. It looks like Megan intends travelling solo. I wonder if that will make him tell the truth.

I dislike Jodie too....not really sure what her character is about. And why is she always made up as if going out forca night on the tiles??

Grannynannywanny Sun 19-Apr-26 16:13:38

My all time least favourite character is Jodie. As soon as she appears I want to fast forward the tv.

I wonder if we’ll see any more of Lou now that Debbie is out of prison. Lou was an exceptionally unlikeable character when she arrived in the street. But she showed a kinder side once in prison with Debbie. One of Corrie’s many characters who arrive as obnoxious and then undergo a transformation.

Charleygirl5 Sun 19-Apr-26 15:52:40

I would line up a few of the usual suspects and use a gun. Mainly Theo, Carl and Jodie,

I can't stand Mary but she is inoffensive.

Heads up fellow Corrie fans there is an episode this evening (Sunday) at 7:30

Many thanks. I didn't know there's an episode tonight. It's going to be an interesting week, I think.

Thank you nanaK54.

Allsorts

Just when I celebrated Theo going, he's out and his van hadn't been searched. As for Sarah, could anyone be that daft. Who is writing this? As for the nutty sister! Every:action and furtive glance is so obvious. Is no one remotely normal in the loosest sense if the term.

I’m amazed Sarah can manage to put one foot in front of the other, she’s so dim. As they say round here, if brains were gunpowder she wouldn’t have enough to blow her hat off.

JenniferEccles Sat 18-Apr-26 08:57:35

Honestly I have no idea whatsoever who the victim or killer is!
I haven’t read anything or heard anything so what I wrote was pure speculation on my part and is probably far from what is really planned !
Perhaps I should have made that clearer.

Aber57 Sat 18-Apr-26 08:02:58

At least Todd was fortunate (?)in having a good network of friends who stood by him. So many victims have been made isolated from family and friends.
