New thread.

Calendargirl Fri 27-Feb-26 13:30:20

Correction to my earlier post with apologies.

I mentioned ‘the lovely Will’.

🤷‍♀️

What was I typing??

I, of course, meant Ollie.

Not silly little Will.

BlueBelle Fri 27-Feb-26 12:18:58

Yes I know where she was found Granny I saw her in the hospital and the arm tattoo and everything but why was she tied up in a van, and and and !!! None of it makes sense,
I watch Emmerdale and Corrie and saw the crossover programme but it all so out of the blue, snd weird , why was she tied up in a van? I ve never seen her in Emmerdale, so what was the link ? I thought I must have missed a programme out or something
Anyone else know ?

Grannynannywanny Fri 27-Feb-26 12:01:35

BlueBelle Jodie first turned up in the crossover episode Corriedale. She was tied up in the back of a van and escaped when it crashed. No idea why she was in the van.

She ended up in hospital with the other injured ones from both soaps. When she was prowling round the hospital she spotted Shona.

Not in the least bit far fetched! 😂

BlueBelle Fri 27-Feb-26 11:49:39

Anyone tell me where Jodie has sprung from, she wasn’t in Emmerdale ?

I don’t think Lauren was always mardy she was sweet with Frankie and Max, and she was abused so had a reason to be scared and not too happy

nanaK54 Fri 27-Feb-26 11:27:11

Phew!
Thanks Bukkie
Agree with everything you have said.

Bukkie Fri 27-Feb-26 11:03:46

NanaK - You are not going nuts! Many of the storylines are baffling, many are just forgotten and not revisited, on many occasions I think I have missed an episode because something happens without a build up. And most frustratingly they impose characters on us we hate like Gemma, undead Becky, Swain etc...and get rid of or underuse characters we like such as Glenda, Debbie, Sally and Adam.

nanaK54 Fri 27-Feb-26 10:37:32

Meant to say 'Am I going nuts'?! grin

nanaK54 Fri 27-Feb-26 10:36:28

I am going 'nuts'?!

It's Ollie isn't it not Will who is far from lovely...he is being groomed by the dreadful Megan.

Calendargirl Fri 27-Feb-26 10:14:32

I have to point out BlueBelle that, IMHO, Lauren has always been sullen and mardy.

Just more so lately.

Why lovely Will is interested, I don’t know.

Having said that, she looks very pretty nowadays, if only she smiled more, smile and looked marginally keen to be a good barmaid, not a stroppy one.

Charleygirl5 Fri 27-Feb-26 09:15:16

I think Jodie overheard Bernie telling Mal at the top of her voice she would kill him, and Jodie decided to create mischief.

I hope Bethany does some more digging around. Jodie definitely stole the wedding ring and hid it down the side of the chair.

BlueBelle Fri 27-Feb-26 09:12:47

No I watch Emmerdale Doodledog Jodie has never been in Emmerdale or mentioned in Emmerdale as far as I know

They ve given Lauren a whole new persona she never used to be so grumpy and sullen look how scared she was and how loving with Frankie she’s had a whole personality transplant over night

Bukkie Fri 27-Feb-26 08:56:48

Although she doesn't seem popular on here, I like Bernie and would like a nice happy life for her. At least she can act unlike her dreadful daughter. Where did Jodie get her box from? She didn't have it when she was escaping in Corriedale? I like Will and would like him to work in the Bistro and become a more central character. Don't put him with mardy Lauren. Why is she allowed to be so rude at work?

Chocolatelovinggran Fri 27-Feb-26 08:54:53

Along with the unlikeliness of Bernie as a femme fatale, I don't see David Platt as the BIL who you might wish to tempt away from your sister.
Is Jodie's motive simply to make mischief, or ...?
She's a busy girl, isn't she?

Doodledog Fri 27-Feb-26 08:30:25

BlueBelle

I must have missed something, how did the horrible Jodie come to be tied up in a van in the crash ??? and just happen to drop into her sisters area

Something to do with Emmerdale, I think grin

So, if Bernie hasn't attacked Mal and I don't think she has, who could it be? He hasn't been around long enough to upset too many people who want to whack him over the head. Could someone from his old life have tracked him down? Closer to Corrie, could it be Dev or Kit? Why has Jodie cut Bernie's face out of her wedding photograph?

Calendargirl Fri 27-Feb-26 07:15:48

Glad Bethany looks to be suspicious of Jodie.

Still find it odd (but of course it’s Soapland), that Jodie had never been mentioned or thought about all these years, then turns up out of the blue after a coincidental car crash, makes herself known, offered a bed for the night, then in the blink of an eye, has moved in permanently (with her secret box of treasures), landed herself Shona’s job, made herself Auntie Of The Year, plus Dog Walker, plus housekeeper and cook.

And soon sleeping with the Street’s Rogue.

With designs on her BIL. shock

Can’t stand her, alongside Mal, Theo, Megan, Maggie…..

And how many more times is silly Dev going to never forgive Bernie, only to dash out five minutes later, begging forgiveness?

Thank goodness for Kit and Sarah, who seem fairly happy at the moment.

nanaK54 Thu 26-Feb-26 14:23:14

Goodness Mal is really quite sinister...

Calendargirl Wed 25-Feb-26 10:34:59

And we must not forget that scene some time ago, when Maggie was rummaging through Ken’s sideboard (as you do) and came across a photo that shocked her.

Everyone thought it was something to do with Ken, but I said at the time several other people lived in that house, and a picture could relate to any of them, not just Ken.

So Steve, Jim, any of the McDonald clan…..

Grannynannywanny Tue 24-Feb-26 21:17:54

When the Driscolls arrived to take over the Rovers Ben’s Belfast accent reminded me of Jim McDonald. I didn’t give it another thought till last night watching the friendship grow between Ben and Steve. Then Steve hearing that his dad was in hospital.

Tonight Ben encouraged Steve to visit him and even gave him a lift to the hospital. Maybe I’ve got an overactive imagination but I’m wondering if Ben might be related in some way to Jim McDonald. Maybe even a half brother to Steve??

EllieAnne Tue 24-Feb-26 20:50:58

I think mal is really creepy.
And do people still use toast racks?

BlueBelle Tue 24-Feb-26 16:22:11

Bernie is not exactly Belle of the ball, I m surprised she managed Dev let alone two of them 🤣🤣🤣

Momac55 Tue 24-Feb-26 15:28:20

Is it just me or does anyone else think the current story of Bernie having a besotted admirer is ridiculous

Calendargirl Tue 24-Feb-26 12:21:32

Could they have found a more unappealing character than Mal?

As if anyone would fancy him.

confused

Calendargirl Tue 24-Feb-26 06:24:00

I suppose if she’d told Kit, she would have had to admit about the drunken night in the hotel, with drugs and ‘kisses’..

🤮
