New thread.

I think the Todd/ Theo storyline is very good and been well done by both actors and writers, you can’t have an important story over in a couple of weeks, they ve had to drag it out a bit to indicate what a long time line abuse can take for the one abused to find the strength and more importantly the means to go. I don’t know if it still holds true but they used to say a woman would be beaten up to twelve times before they ‘escaped’ I m sure it’s the same for men.
I’m impatient for the Jodie/Billy/Carl/ Theo storyline to come into play.

Sarnia Sun 12-Apr-26 20:01:51

The Todd/Theo storyline comes out in the open this coming week.

Well that was a barrel of laughs - not.

Poor Summer sad

Clawdy Mon 13-Apr-26 12:08:48

At least Jodie actually did something good!

Calendargirl Mon 13-Apr-26 20:44:49

Poor Todd!

He must have been desperate for the loo, locked in that bedroom!

Don’t suppose it had an en suite.

Yes I thought that as well Calendargirl I did see a waste paper bin in the room !!
That of course is the least of Todd's worries now, wonder how he escaped.

Aveline Mon 13-Apr-26 21:21:12

I wondered why he didn't call out the window. Gary could have kicked down the outer door and rescued him.
Glad there was a waste paper bin.

nanaK54 Mon 13-Apr-26 21:52:17

Oh Todd sad

Grannynannywanny Mon 13-Apr-26 22:08:52

I hope for Todd’s sake that Theo isn’t lying unconscious in the flat.

Charleygirl5 Mon 13-Apr-26 22:19:56

With luck Theo has run for his life, Thank goodness Todd has seen the light and is going to the police.

I didn't think the bedroom window was double-glazed so would have been easier to break.

Aveline Tue 14-Apr-26 06:49:34

Oh I can see poor Todd up for murder. This story has a way to go.

Sarnia Tue 14-Apr-26 06:50:16

I hope I have seen the last of Mal. One of Corrie's more ridiculous storylines.
I cannot fathom Jodie's behaviour and what her long-term plan is. Lily found a box belonging to Jodie a while ago with items stolen from Corrie residents. Is Jodie using Lisa Swain's bank card or has she just taken it to squirrel away in her box and use for something sinister in the future?

BlueBelle Tue 14-Apr-26 07:06:27

And why was Jodie tied up in the van in the car crash will we ever know what that link with Emmerdale was ( I ve never seen her in Emmerdale )

Charleygirl5 Tue 14-Apr-26 07:21:13

Joy of joys, football is on again tonight. I looked for Corrie to be squeezed in but no luck. I am fed up.

Grannynannywanny Tue 14-Apr-26 07:53:19

Sarnia it was Lisa’s police ID card that Jodie stole. She seems to steal something from anyone who rubs her up the wrong way. She’s a very weird character.

Carla and Lisa’s house is a busy place. The house now accommodates Carla and Lisa, Becky, baby Connie, Ryan, Roy and Nina.

Poor Todd, I actually shed a tear when I saw the state of him in the closing scene. The actor who plays Theo is so convincing, nice one minute, pathetic the next and then truly menacing the next. I am actually on edge watching him and worrying what he will do next.
Todd you need to move in with Summer and look after each other.

Doodledog Wed 15-Apr-26 16:50:27

Yes, that would work well. Todd didn't going to be in a fit state to look after himself for a while, particularly if it comes out that Theo killed Billy.

Sarnia Wed 15-Apr-26 20:01:58

That has to be the best episode of Corrie I have seen for a while. I particularly liked the end where Swain was explaining what keeps women with their abuser. Sensitively done and Todd has played his part so well. I hope when the Soap Awards come round he gets some recognition for his performance.

Calendargirl Wed 15-Apr-26 20:59:33

Corrie at its best tonight. Great acting all round.

Surely Todd should have been taken to hospital earlier?

nanaK54 Wed 15-Apr-26 21:09:26

Such a hard watch but yes a really good episode which delivered an important message...

Grannynannywanny Wed 15-Apr-26 21:17:23

Great to see Theo locked up at last. Poor Todd, he looked pitiful. Great acting all round.

I couldn’t understand why they were interviewing Todd at the police station after such a severe beating. He should have been taken to A&E first. Then interviewed once he’d been checked over.

Aveline Wed 15-Apr-26 21:21:33

Absolutely. Very strange to go to Police station first.

Primrose53 Wed 15-Apr-26 21:48:41

Aveline

Absolutely. Very strange to go to Police station first.

Just what we said!

Nannee49 Thu 16-Apr-26 12:36:08

It was a very good episode but marred for me by the stress of a) poor Todd not getting urgent medical attention and b) no squad car deployed immediately to arrest evil Theo.
I know it's not real but stillshock....and I'd just watched poor Bear on Emmerdale getting himself deeper in the mire. Needed a cup of camomile tea to deal with it all just before bedtime.

Nannee49 Thu 16-Apr-26 12:43:24

On a more serious note, I thought the scene which highlighted the violence and trauma of abuse was very moving and brave of the producers to air it so directly. Well done.
