New thread.

Bet Theo tries to mess up Todd’s eulogy. Perhaps he will “accidentally “ stick it in the rubbish.

Theo is bound to do something vile Lovetopaint037. I don’t expect Billy’s framed photo to survive intact for the funeral. I think it will be accidentally shattered and Theo will blame Todd.

Poor Todd looks at breaking point. I thought a couple of weeks ago Christina was on to Theo and was going to be instrumental in coming to Todd’s rescue. But everyone seems to be oblivious to his torture. Billy didn’t last long after sussing what was going on.

Calendargirl Fri 16-Jan-26 12:58:16

Well, of course, they all think Theo is such a hero, dashing back to ‘save’ poor Billy.

He’s milking it for all its worth, and as for making Todd feel guilty about the early bus depart….

So now we know for certain Debbie is Carl's mother - or " mutter" as the little birth bracelet said. And she obviously gave birth to him in Germany. Complicated!

Beechnut Fri 16-Jan-26 17:32:19

Perhaps that’s why Kevin didn’t wonder why he had a brother and not noticed his mum being pregnant!

Doodledog Sat 17-Jan-26 07:15:08

Kevin and Carl don’t share a mother. When Debbie and the family were in Germany Kevin was on t’cobbles. It was perfectly possible that he knew nothing about a baby, as contact would be sporadic in the 1980s. When Carl was born he would have been introduced as Kevin’s half brother. It did happen when there was shame attached to being an unmarried mother, but I would have thought it would have died out by the eighties.

Or maybe when Bill Webster married Kevin’s mum (Elaine) Carl was already born, and Bill wasn’t in on the deception?

Jodie isn’t at all likeable.

Pretending the veggie lasagne was made by her. shock

And having been a ‘guest’ in David and Shona’s home for about 5 minutes, she comes across badly, hostile to Nick on more than one occasion, encouraging Lily (who needs no encouragement) to skip school and be a brat.

Trouble with a capital T.

It seemed to jump about last night. Meghan was going in for an abortion, then you saw her sitting down having a drink/meal with Daniel. Was that later in the day?

Already fed up with yet another cliff hanger of a story about a sick newborn. Seems no time at all since baby Frankie was in and out of hospital, never knowing if he would survive or not.

Now he rarely puts in an appearance, Lauren never seems to be troubled with child minding as she is always either in the pub looking mardy as she doles out the pints, or hanging about with Betsy and others.

Woe betide that Corrie should have any realism in it.
I am hoping that Kit comes to arrest Theo during the funeral and in front of a large audience.

Kate1949 Sat 17-Jan-26 10:22:55

I don't think Megan had the abortion.

Calendargirl Sat 17-Jan-26 10:32:27

So another dragged-out baby story, who is the father?….

She has only been seeing Daniel for a matter of weeks, assuming the baby is his?

No wonder youngsters think it ok to get pregnant after a quick relationship.

[sigh]

But on a positive note, don’t suppose many teenagers watch the soaps nowadays.

honeyrose Sat 17-Jan-26 10:41:52

I do feel that the actress (or I should say actor, now) who plays Summer has been superb - the sorrow, anguish, hurt and anger she demonstrates since Billy’s death seems very realistic to me. That spat with Debbie was heart rending, Debbie is a good actress too. Unlike some of the actors - can’t ABIDE Dev!!!! After all these years in Corrie, he still can’t act for toffee!
Jodie (Shona’s half sister?) has some skeletons in the cupboard. She is going to make a move on David very soon, I’m sure. Probably follow him up to the bathroom (to wash his back!).
What happened to baby Frankie? He hardly gets a mention these days, allowing his sulky, miserable mother to spend lots of time away from him. Who is the Street’s mysterious babysitter - many of the streets kids seem to be unattended for much of the time. Can they all be trusted to play in their bedrooms whilst their parent is out (even the babies)?

Bukkie Sat 17-Jan-26 11:42:24

Honeyrose- You were correct first time when you said Harriet Bibby who plays Summer is an ACTRESS. I cringe when I hear females being called an actor. I am desperate Ronnie sees Debbie's bruises to confirm she wasn't the driver. I don't think Megan had the abortion either. I don't Daniel is popular on here but I can't bear him. I noticed he has introduced Megan as Mum number 50 or so and is getting her to do the school run.

Bukkie Sat 17-Jan-26 11:44:19

That should say, "I KNOW Daniel is popular on here." I do think he is a good match as Ken's son.

vegansrock Sat 17-Jan-26 13:17:47

Poor Bertie seems to have endless “step mums” - Daisy, Bethany, then Daisy again, not to mention the sex worker whose name I’ve forgotten. What happened to not introducing your child to a new partner for at least 6 months? No wonder the boy is practically mute.

Astitchintime Sat 17-Jan-26 13:28:26

I just wish they’d get the Megan/Will relationship out in the open……surely someone in the family is joining the dots by now……..Megan coming from same place as ‘Chloe’ who was named by Will as his girlfriend, he was found in the hotel on his 16th supposedly with ‘Chloe’ and practically gets a pat on the back for it…….where’s the respect for females in that scenario? And Will is so rude, obnoxious and vile towards Daniel, Megan’s current ‘boyfriend’.

Grannynannywanny Sat 17-Jan-26 13:54:22

I’ve always thought Megan resembled Daniel’s girlfriend/sex worker Nicky who he hooked up with after Sinead’s death. I had a look at photos today. What do you reckon?

BlueBelle Sat 17-Jan-26 15:04:22

Well of course Will m would be belligerent towards Daniel in his eyes Daniel has just stolen his girlfriend I can’t understand why he manages to believe Megan when she comes out after a night staying over and tells Will hes imagining things 🤣🤣🤣

Disappointed to see Maggie back I thought she might have gone off in a puff of smoke

BlueBelle Sat 17-Jan-26 15:05:25

Yes they do look alike grannynannywanny just like I think Shona and her sister look and sound alike

Calendargirl Sat 17-Jan-26 18:29:31

He looks so glum. I suppose being palmed off to either your dad’s latest GF, or having ageing GD Ken in charge isn’t much fun.

Why was Ken having a bath before going to the dentist’s? Surely brushing his teeth would have sufficed?

Charleygirl5 Sat 17-Jan-26 21:50:42

I thought Jodie was about to make a pass towards David, but he decided to have a bath instead.

I am certain Megan changed her mind, and no doubt the baby is Will's

I think it’s Will’s baby so that should be fun as he appears to be mixed race. 😉

Calendargirl Sun 18-Jan-26 07:37:35

I really don’t think we need yet another baby brought into Corrie.

In the last year or so we’ve had Lauren’s Frankie, Dee Dee’s Laila, and now this baby of Meghan’s.

Plus Daisy, who I think lost a baby, and Fiz who had an abortion.

Too many.

Jodieb Sun 18-Jan-26 21:13:06

I have recorded the shows and realised with the girl and the dinosaur, the ads and the credits Corrie is only on for twenty minutes!

Doodledog Sun 18-Jan-26 22:43:40

Yes, I watch on ITVX so don’t get ads and it’s all over very quickly. I preferred the hour long episodes and would rather have those back twice a week than half our ones every night.

Calendargirl Mon 19-Jan-26 06:39:46

Do you pay extra to get ad free Doodledog?

I assume you do, otherwise there are still ads, surely?

£5.99 a month for ITVX. And mostly you can watch every episode of any new drama rather than waiting week after week for the next spine chilling, tension packed, thrilling…….or not as the case may be……….episode.
