New thread.

Calendargirl Thu 28-May-26 06:52:14

And neither Fizz nor Tyrone were sorry about Roy’s broken train.

Just excuses all the time.

🤷‍♀️

Calendargirl Thu 28-May-26 06:50:59

And the way Hope speaks to her mother!

But they all just pussyfoot around her, begging her forgiveness….

She and Will make a good pair of mardy teenagers.

Yes, last night’s disjointed effort jumped from one miserable scene to another.

When are George and Todd ever doing any work at the funeral business?

My sympathy for Todd is evaporating somewhat, all his drama queen moments and constant drinking. Because yes Todd, all this is happening as a result of your misguided relationship with Theo.

As for Idris, the latest hard guy on the block…..

Unmitigated misery tonight...again.

Not one scene to lighten the load, it's more like a constant crime drama than an enjoyable soap.

EllieAnne Wed 27-May-26 15:51:40

So another nasty character is introduced. Just what we need

Aveline Wed 27-May-26 11:59:59

Of course they do Charleygirl15. You can see previous stories being knitted into current ones.

Charleygirl5 Wed 27-May-26 11:09:49

Half of the problem is there is no continuity with the script writers, it's a different one each evening. Do they not all sit down and discuss what will happen to each character over the next year, or I'm showing my naivety?

I agree, judging from the expression on Jodie's face I think she is the troll doing the damage. Daniel isn't a good judge of characters.

Sarnia Tue 26-May-26 23:23:37

As one door opens..............Theo not even buried and here comes another charmer to take his place.
For goodness sake, where do the Corrie scriptwriter live? Let's have something most of us can relate to for goodness sake.

nanaK54 Tue 26-May-26 23:14:31

Do we really need another 'gangster' (Alya's cousin).

Please Corrie writers lets complete some existing storylines before starting new ones.

Oh Will don't ring the horrible Megan.

Don't really understand why Kit has suddenly disappeared.

Is Jodie going to be identified as the troll, hope so before Daniel gets too drawn in and introduces yet another 'mummy' to Bertie.

Ma Driscoll is home again!

Poor Sam is still talking to an invisible Roy.

Calendargirl Sat 23-May-26 10:21:08

Yes, where is Carl?

Still on life support, or back in the Rovers?

And what happened to dreadful Mal, has he been written out or will he reappear again at some point (🙏please, no!) ?

Grannynannywanny Sat 23-May-26 09:07:44

BlueBelle I agree with you about Kirk. I usually enjoy when the scriptwriters introduce a bit of old style Corrie humour. But I seldom find Kirk’s lines funny.

I find little Susie comical and she’s a great actress for her age.

I really enjoy Ma Driscoll and watching her complicated character slowly unfolding. I hope she stays long term. She does have some comical one liners in between the serious stuff.

BlueBelle Sat 23-May-26 08:10:38

Kirk drives me mad I don’t think he’s funny and not convinced he s from the same family as his sister!
Seans flounces make me cross way too over done
They don’t half bung them in a cell quickly on Corrie one interview and off with their heads

nanaK54 Sat 23-May-26 07:56:32

Poor Summer.
Was it Tyrone that let the jack down on the car that squished Carl...is that why he won't say that he saw Summer that night.
Oh and where is Carl, is he still in hospital.

Sarnia Sat 23-May-26 06:31:20

Tyrone looked a bit shifty when Lisa asked him about seeing Summer coming away from Todd & Theo's flat. Fizz has cottoned on that something is bothering him. Tyrone has been on the receiving end of domestic violence himself.

Aveline Fri 22-May-26 13:23:46

I love Kirk!

Calendargirl Fri 22-May-26 10:52:52

I’m afraid I find Kirk just plain daft most of the time, and think he would be exhausting to work alongside.

Mind you, Izzy never seems to be doing much work either, and Sean just flounces about.

I like Michael, but he was one I couldn’t take to when he first appeared. He’s grown on me.

Dee Dee never warrants a mention nowadays.

Alongside Daisy, Jenny, Max, Simon, Bobby (thank goodness he disappeared), they are soon forgotten.

At least ‘our Craigy’ was getting a memorial anniversary service from the police.

RIP Craigy.

Clawdy Fri 22-May-26 09:03:27

Yes, we need more fun, but not silliness like Mary's usual scenes! Not that she's in it much, like Brian. They just have occasional appearances, don't they?

Aveline Fri 22-May-26 06:29:50

Kirk was so funny in last night's show. Some really good daft one liners. A blast from the old style Corrie where a more comic character offsets the doom and gloom storylines.

BlueBelle Fri 22-May-26 05:23:57

I think Susie and Tyrone’s little son whose name escapes me are the best actors on Corrie Both little naturals and are 100% better than most of the older children (and the adults)
Corrie is really not holding me much at the moment …..

Bukkie Fri 22-May-26 00:21:48

I love Susie, she acts most of them out of the water. She is exactly how you would expect Eva's daughter to be.

Jodieb Thu 21-May-26 16:45:49

We are needing a good story line now Theo has gone.

Bukkie Thu 21-May-26 12:55:19

Thank you Aveline for the explanation, I couldn't work out the silliness. Gosh has Craigie been gone a year. Yes I think Harry is long forgotten.

Aveline Thu 21-May-26 08:37:55

Of course - it's Corrie after all!

Calendargirl Thu 21-May-26 07:44:18

Aveline

The factory people were carrying on and being daft to distract Kirk as it's the anniversary of his stepson's death - our Craigie

Still nonsense though.
