Monty Don's Rhineland Gardens BBC I Player

I am no great fan of Monty Don but I watched this programme and was completely entranced by the varieties of gardens he chose to highlight, as well as the history of places the river passes through some of which I have visited. And all the wonderful, passionate gardeners. I had the pleasure of living in the Netherlands for three years and know how Dutch people love to garden even in the smallest spaces. Even when people lived in apartments there wasn’t a balcony that didn’t have something growing on it.

I have just been watching his programme about his visits to some beautiful Japanese gardens,
I would highly recommend watching it.

Lovely program! Enjoyed every minute, especially the last episode,as I'm going to Amsterdam and keukenhoff gardens in April. This was a taster. Can't wait.

Really lovely programme, Makes me want to go on a Rhine cruise

We were lucky enough to go on a river cruise last summer, and went down the central part of the Rhine, the Main and Moselle. Fantastic scenery. Would thoroughly recommend. Enjoyed seeing it again on this lovely programme.
