If you like a British feel good film this could be one for you. All a bit predictable but enjoyable none the less with some well known actors including Martin Clunes. Went with another couple and we all enjoyed it. Not too long either, just over 1.5 hours.

It was filmed very near to where I live, so I shall definitely see it, if only to spot any continuity effort! Seriously anything with that cast list, especially Martin Cluns, is going to be worth seeing.

Don’t think I will bother. Looks similar to Fisherman’s Friend films and I found those sickly sweet.

I’m going later this afternoon. We stayed in Norton St Philip, in an airbnb next door to the George a couple of years ago, and ate in the pub, which is lovely and serves very good food, so I am looking forward to seeing it.

Hoping to go and see it at the weekend, much prefer British films and do enjoy watching Mark Addey.

Sometimes 'sickly sweet' is just what you need.

I enjoyed the Fisherman’s Friends films (first more than second) and this is by the same production team. I won’t rush out to see it, but if it’s on nearby on a rainy Sunday I may be tempted. It looks more like something I’d enjoy on TV though.

Watched it last night and really enjoyed it, it’s a nice feel good film with no gratuitous violence

Was it a laugh out loud film?

Casdon Mon 09-Mar-26 14:35:51

There were some funny moments Delene100, but it’s not a comedy film, it fits more into the family drama category I’d say. I really enjoyed it, and it was lovely to see Josie Lawrence in it, I haven’t seen her for a long time.

Thanks for your reply, Casdon. Appreciated.

A duration of one and a half hours is definitely a plus point for me. So many films these days are ridiculously long - an extraordinary three plus hours is not unheard of.

Some of the audience definitely did laugh out loud!

We went to see it this afternoon.
Both I and DH thoroughly enjoyed it.
A feel good film to just sit back and enjoy.

Yes, a nice feel good film with some good actors, and a happy ending, for once!
