This begins on April 8th on Disney Plus, as far as I can see they have the sole rights.

I loved the book and lent it to all my Book Group. I don’t have Disney, sadly.

It’s a shame, The Handmaid’s Tale was previously screened by Channel 4. We do have Disney on a trial so I will be able to watch it.

I haven't read the books but I very much enjoyed the Handmaid's Tale. The publicity I've seen for the Testaments say it focuses on the daughters of the Commanders. Is it therefore aimed at younger readers/viewers? I'm not sure I will enjoy it as much as the Handmaid's Tale if that's the case.

Looking forward to it .

Ooh I absolutely loath The Handmaid's Tale. I taught it for A level literature about 20 years ago and couldn't wait to finish.

So annoying after reading the books and watching every series of the Handmaid's Tale it now goes to a channel that I don't have.

I loved the Handmaid’s Tale, both the book and the Television series but I have read the Testaments and hated it. Very disappointed, so won’t be watching, even if they do screen it on Channel 4 ( don’t have Disney).

When l first read this post l actually thought The Testaments was a film about The Bible which Disney had bought the sole rights to.

You know a world wide deal with the Christian Church.

It does sound really Six Form A Level ish..Or it could be French and Saunders send up of Little Women.

And?.....your point is???...

I’m sure the TV version of The Testaments will turn up on Channel 4 in the UK at some point but if you want to watch it now you’ll need a subscription to Disney+ . I got one free with a Club Lloyd’s bank account that I now have.

Whatever you thought The Testaments was or ‘sounds like’ I thought it was widely known that it is a follow up novel to The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood, perhaps I should have included more information in the subject heading.

I did not like the Handsmauds Tale.
