I enjoy it for the glimpses of real local life and fabulous scenery.

The actual racing and the sad personal stories are somewhat repetitive.

How is it filmed? Are each couple accompanied by a photographer who runs alongside? 😂

Yes I believe each team has camera crew with them (2 people).

I thought planes were off limits but they took a flight last night. They have taken a flight before bit I think that was because there was civil unrest in the country they were due to visit and the route had to change.

I loved last night's episode. Spectacular cities and wonderful scenery. Very different cultures, fascinating stuff. The "Stans" had been on my bucket list but Covid and bad health put a stop to my travelling days.

It was a similar situation with the flight in last night's episode - the land border crossing was closed, so they had to fly instead.

I really like the two young boys from Liverpool. They are so kind and willing to soak up this experience.

They are growing in confidence during their travels.

My friends are booked for Uzbekistan with a tour group this month so I shall hear how they get on. It won't be without mobile phones!

I like the other couples, but I'm not jelling to any of them this time.

Race Across the World has done well with its boy duos, I like these two very much. There were another couple of lovely boys a season or so ago. I think one was called Alfie and he'd lost his mum when he was very young. I'd be very happy to see the boys win. I also like Margo, there aren't any I dislike.

All the scenery, as always, has been wonderful, Cappadocia would take some beating. Last night's was so interesting and the blue mosques just stunning. What lovely people too

Think that was Alfie and Owen - did they not win that series? I really liked them - and I like Jo and Kush too. I'd like to see them win, I think.

They are growing in confidence during their travels.

They are lovely young men, their parents must be so proud of them, I love their close friendship. I am rooting for them in the same way that I was for the two young boys in Series 4.

I'm another one rooting for the two youngsters from Liverpool. Such lovely kind boys who seem to really appreciate the whole experience

I also like the brother and sister Harrison and Katie, they seem to have had a tough time caring for their mother for ten years and they are only 23 and 21.

I’ve only started watching this series the other day and am on the turkey one. I think it’s the 3rd episode. Istanbul and Cappadoccia are on my bucket list .
So far I haven’t really gelled with the contestants , but it’s early days .

The two Liverpool boys are so nice and kind to each other. It would be nice if they won.

I have really enjoyed all the series I have watched. So many interesting countries which I will never see, so second best, I watch from my sofa.

I love how kind and welcoming the hosts are when the teams do a family stay. Even with the language barrier their warmth and interest is heart warming. And those who give free lifts too.

I dont normally watch all episodes of this programme.
Not even sure I saw any of series 3 and 4.

I am liking this series so have stuck with it.
I have liked all the couples.

I probably want Katie and Harrison to win.
Partly because I think they deserve is as they keep coming top of the leadership board. [I havent seen all of ep 6 yet].

I don't have a problem with any of the contestants, although I do think the Northern Irish dad goes on quite a bit about his daughter striking out on her own from an independence pov, which is puzzling, she's a junior doctor, hardly a teenager My preference for an overall win would probably be the two Liverpool boys.

I've become very interested in the "Stans", we just don't hear so much about them, I guess they were under Soviet control for son long. I've been studying maps, Kazakhstan is huge, but then again so is Mongolia, final destination.

I love the programme, I hope BBC is lining up the next one. Keep them coming

He's in denial, isn't he, that his little girl is no longer a child but a grown woman, a doctor. I wonder if it has always just been Dad and daughter or if Mum is around at all?

This is one of my all time favourite tv shows. I’ve got everything crossed for Jo and Kush as I love their wonderful friendship, and so young too.

I like the two Liverpoool boys as well.
