Without spoiling it for people who haven't watched it all, can I just ask, the Fairley boy who Paula is with , which (Fairley) family member has he descended from ?

I gave up on it. Pretty dire. So many years horrific and ridiculous woke changes. Why on earth did Brenda Bethlyn go along with it.

I rewatched the original with Deborah Kerr and Liam Neeson instead. Wonderful.

He is Edwin Fairley’s grandson, the one who Emma was pregnant by and gave birth to baby Edwina.

Never read the book or watched the original series but we have both enjoyed this series, a nice easy to watch programme.

I’m currently listening to the audiobook, all 35 hours of it, and enjoying it as much as I enjoyed the book when it came out.

I also loved the original version which I now need to watch again in order to get the dreadful new one out of my head 😖

I enjoyed it and particularly enjoyed the scenery and costumes.
