Remake of Bergerac on U Channel

We enjoyed the first series too. There isn’t much we enjoy on tv these days so hopefully the next series will be as good

I have to pretend I’m watching a crime drama rather than Bergerac, as I loved the original so much.

I’m not a fan of remakes!

It's difficult to remake a successful series it would be better to begin with an original fresh idea

I haven't seen the original Bergerac so I can't compare the two versions. I'm now 4 episodes into the second series and I think it's very good.

They are screening the old series on one of the channels it just seemed very dated to me and couldn't get into it.

As mentioned earlier I just have to pretend it's a drama series and not Bergerac. John Nettles will always be Bergerac to me too. I like Zoe Wanamaker but Charlie Hungerford should be a cheeky chappie man like the original series.

Loved the original and am watching 're runs. Couldn't get into the new version at all. Bergerac will always be John Nettles, as will the other original cast members.

why they called this bergerac is beyond me.it would have worked bettervwith a different name

Just finished the first series and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Don't see why it is New Bergerac

I think the series stands alone, good story and plotline with several twists, great performances by the cast.

Looking forward to series 2.
