I’m watching this now, lots of unseen cine film footage and photos of the whole of our late QEII’s life, voiced over by relevant comments, made by her at the time of the filming and photo shoots.
Letters and comments written to Granny Queen Mary where she details her thoughts about events, such as her opinion on Hitler, for instance.
Some we have seen before, I’ve only got up to her wedding just now but the programme really is worth a watch.
It shows most definitely that we will never see her like again and how greatly missed she is by me certainly (and I assume) by others who grew up with her as heir apparent and then the reigning monarch.
It’s on iplayer titled Elizabeth: The Unseen Queen. A similar programme is airing on Channel 5 not sure if it’s identical or just photos, but also might be with a watch.

It is very interesting. I just about remember her wedding in 1947. I was seven at the time.

I’m struck by how pretty she was as a child - in fact she was still pretty in her old age.

What a lovely programme.
They seemed such a close, happy family. The King was such a loving father, enjoying time with his children. Unusual in those days, I think.
I was surprised how close to her granny the queen was. She always looked so austere

Much is being written about her now, she can’t deny anything said
