Do drums drive you crazy?

I'm not keen on football matches but DH watches occasionally and yes, the incessant monotonous banging of a drum is extremely annoying.

They should be banned at matches. They are fine when played properly in the right setting.

We had a neighbour years ago whose son use to practise the drums - loudly - in their garage.

Our Ladies team played another who had a drummer with a giant loud drum. It was loud, constant and gave everyone myself included a massive headache. When the return match was played at our ground we said no drums or any other musical instrument.

My team doesn’t allow drums or any other musical instruments into the ground.

Well my DH was a drummer and is constantly tapping away on tables and arms of chairs. On anything really! Drives me mad!

I don’t mind drums being played, although not at football matches

I can only think of a few clubs that have them, plus England supporters, doesn’t bother me. But I like a lot of dance and other music with a loud, repetitive beat.

Drums at football matches, in England anyway, tend to be at a club's discretion. The team I follow, for example, don't allow musical instruments at all in the ground, which I'm pleased about. I'd probably stop going if there were musical instruments blasting away near me throughout the match.

As for noises in general, most don't bother me. In fact, I have tinnitus and that doesn't bother me most of the time. But rustling crisp packets and slurping drinks in a cinema? That's why I stopped going. Bugs the you-know-what out of me.

Yes I have a problem with noise, whether it’s loud music in the background of dramas & films, drowns out the dialogue.. why so loud?
Also birds singing in the early hours of the morning, I literally cannot stand it. but don’t mind them in the afternoon.
Restaurants with scrapey chairs on tiled floors, & cutlery scraping on plates. I literally can’t concentrate on a conversation I am having, so much so I barely go out for meals now.
Groups of loud, young women voices.
Now I have tinnitus so whether that’s something to do with it. The hearing lady at the tinnitus clinic did say there was a sss sound that young woman make that I probably couldn’t tolerate.
So yes I get that you would find drums annoying.

I don’t watch or go to football matches so I didn’t know drums were allowed, but I’d hate to be sitting close to them. Last time I went it was Vuvuzelas, fun to play but a nightmare en masse.
I do sympathise about background noise during interviews though.
We usually resort to subtitles and low sound if it’s too bad.
