I have just read that Liza Tarbuck is to host this new series coming later this year. I think she will do a good job! There will be no eliminations, just a winner announced in the final programme, which sounds good.
The celebs are some of the usual participants in this type of show: Lucy Beaumont, Fatiha El-Ghourri, Richard Herring, Paul Merson, Layton Williams and Denise Van-Outen.
It looks like the non-celeb version will still feature Siobhan McSweeney, who has settled into the role well in my opinion.

The Pottery Showdown is one of my favourite TV programmes but as with other programmes, I feel like running away as soon as I see the word "celebrity" mentioned and it.just puts me off. In my opinion the word celebrity is overused and many of the people are not celebrities. I.much prefer to see the ordinary programmes where there are craftspeople with genuine talent and enthusiasm.
That's my rant over with for the day!

Members of the general public are more much more interesting than 'celebrities' on TV programmes, usually authentic and natural. Sick of seeing 'celebrities', their posing and false gaiety, so self absorbed, loud laughs and showing off. Artificial. Puts me off.

I've not heard of half of the 'celebrities' mentioned in the post above, and one is extremely annoying.

But good to see Liza Tarbuck again. Likeable, in my opinion.

I have only heard ofDenise Van Outen so it will be much like watching a non celebrity version for me.

So fed up with shows putting on a so called 'celebrity' version. As others said it's much more interesting watching members of the public get to grips with a new skill or not as the case may be. Between the crying and the celebrities think I will give some episodes a miss.

Same here. I would far rather watch the talented, everyday people who bring and take away so much from being on this programme.
Celebrities leave me cold.
