Cossy no one notices the well behaved football fans because the ill behaved ones are so noisy and unpleasant.

Sadly Padstow13 domestic abuse always rises during big football tournaments and at Christmas, whilst alcohol might play a part, domestic abuse can, and often does, occur when these perpetrators are cold stone sober.

Licensing laws are now extremely long and flexible.

My DH is a very big footie fan, he played from age 9-40 and isn’t a loud mouthed idiot.

The stereotypical footie fan from days gone by now no longer exist. My DD is a football fan, played football for a local team in her teams, runs a girls football team in her school and doesn’t even drink alcohol.

The man in question was a loud mouth bully who just happens to like football.

The licensing laws have already been adjusted for the World Cup.

Each licensed premises (bar/pub/restaurant/hotel) has to inform the local licensing authorities when and how long they will be opening to accommodate matches and pay a fee of £25 for the extension.

.....and if the loud-mouthed boor who shouted down the woman opposing extended drinking hours (on the Jeremy Vine Show) is a typical football worshipping idiot then that's a good case against it.

He constantly interrupted, his voice rising by octaves - Jeremy had to interrupt him to let the female contributor get a word in sideways!

I don't imagine that brute considered that domestic violence incidents mushroom whenever there's a big match, and domestic abuse charities brace themselves when the World Cup comes around.
