Just after 8 this morning (24/7) BBC Radio 4's Today programme had an item about a video featuring the Beatles, which was recently discovered and is being shown tonight at the British Film Institute. The song clip they played in the background of the item was the Beatles' song 'Maxwell's Silver Hammer', which is about someone being beaten to death with a hammer - lyrics are available online if you want to check. Who on earth at the BBC thought this was all right just after the Widdecombe murder?
