Just finished this series and throughly enjoyed it.
Keeley Hawkes and Timothy Spall are both excellent in their roles.
Set in the 1950's. Lots of mystery and intrigue.

I saw it first time round when it was on the BBC. It was very good.

It's wonderful. I'm a huge Stephen Poliakoff fan and have seen all his dramas. They are all wonderful! You can buy them very cheap on DVD from E-Bay and I have bought several. They have all the top British actors because they all wanted to work with him!

The BBC do show one every now and then but honestly, they should keep them ALL on iPlayer because they are all classics and so beautiful. Remember The Lost Prince ?

Fantastic. Poliakoff captures melancholy so well. The Lost Prince, what a piece of work.

My favourite is Shooting the Past. I’ve always been fascinated by old photographs and worry about photos now just being on peoples phones or on the internet.

They had Caught on a Train on BBC4 not long ago, a very old and atmospheric one from 1980. They have kept Poliakoff's memories about it on iPlayer but not the actual drama.

It had a very young Michael Kitchen and was a masterclass in acting. He could say everything with just a look, just as he did years later in Foyle's War. he only had to raise an eyebrow and you knew exactly what he was thinking.
