Does anyone remember this series from a few years ago? For some reason I started thinking about it today and wondered how the couple who won it were getting on. Turns out they never did move there and are still on their sheep farm. It all got very complicated and then the pandemic hit anyway.

Yes. Seems all quite sad really.
I kept half an eye on them for a while on Instagram.

Never saw that.
Did Follow the ‘Bush people of Alaska’ I think it was called.
Love anything like this.

This is their Instagram:

It no longer talks about the wilderness stuff.

I remeber there was some kind of dispute with the owners after the programme aired. Then the wife passed away.

Not sure what happened going forward though.

The old man married someone a lot younger and refused to move out, was ill, had to be rescued, ignored local friends and family - it was total chaos and very energy sapping I think.

My info could all be in the wrong order!
Lots about it online though.
I seem to remember the new young wife writing his letters (or destroying letters to him - or both) and they became rather spiteful I think...
