Anyone up for a 'Traitors thread'?

watermeadow Mon 05-Oct-26 08:30:35

I have no television and don’t watch films so don’t know who most of the contestants are. It doesn’t make any difference to my enjoyment of the game but apparently most of them know each other, which may affect how they play.

Richard could point out that Joe’s question was naive. When there was only one answer. So couldn’t resist teasing. He probably would have said it were he faithful.

Exactly! That’s just how I saw it too. It was the best reply and he should keep it up throughout his time there to totally confuse the others.

I think it makes it more interesting when they know each other - I prefer the celebrity version because lots of them do know each other, some very well and some maybe just as aquaintances or people they have worked with, but it adds another layer of interest.

Jerry Hall was and will always be Jerry Hall regardless of whoever she was/is married to.

How do you come to be watching Traitors then?

^You've lifted my brain fog and I can give you one more of Jerry's conquests, Bryan Ferry!^

Oh, I missed that one!

I knew there was a long buried reason for disliking her.

JenniRen Mon 05-Oct-26 10:40:01

kittylester 😁

You can have him as far as Jerry and I are concerned!

What, no wait, if Bryan Ferry is on offer, I need to be in the queue please grin

Jerry Hall is only famous for her liaisons and marriages. Just a sleb.

Namsnanny Mon 05-Oct-26 12:21:39

Well, he is more my cup of tea than Mick. So if he is on the look out for a clapped out granny, my hand is up.

She isn’t, she was one of the two top models in the world in the mid 1970s, she and Marie Helvin were on all the magazine covers and on the catwalk at all the biggest fashion shows. She was on the cover of one of Bryan Ferry’s albums, not sure if that’s how she met him, or if they just moved in the same circles.

Plus she has had some acting roles.

Aveline Mon 05-Oct-26 13:25:03

So just famous for being photographed? Still not impressed.

Casdon Mon 05-Oct-26 13:33:44

You don’t need to be impressed, but you must surely accept she is a celebrity in her own right, whose face is known all over the world?

Schnackie2 Mon 05-Oct-26 15:08:22

Actually, I saw her at the Gielgud Theatre in the West End in 2000, playing Mrs. Robinson in The Graduate. I found her to be a very good actress.

TillyTrotter Mon 05-Oct-26 15:52:08

Jerry alleges she has an IQ of 146 which is exceptionally high. That’s impressive if true.

Retread Mon 05-Oct-26 15:55:30

… yet she married Rupert Murdoch!

Aveline Mon 05-Oct-26 16:01:01

Retread Murdoch is very rich...She says she's not daft...

Retread Mon 05-Oct-26 16:14:10

Yet she must be or have been rich in her own right? I still think it was a dumb thing to do! Unless of course she fell in love ... 😂

Casdon Mon 05-Oct-26 16:16:34

She was a very rich lady before she married Murdoch, I’d guess she is attracted to power, because he definitely doesn’t have looks on his side.

Well power can be an aphrodisiac but it wouldn’t work for me because the most powerful men in the world are also the most morally bankrupt and physically repugnant.
Imagine turning in bed to see Trump next to you. I think I have given myself nightmares with that image.

Aveline Mon 05-Oct-26 16:49:21

Eek Trump! Golden opportunity with all those pillows though...

She then moved into acting and has had parts on stage, TV and on stage. She and Jagger have four children.

I doubt she needed Murdoch's money so what the attraction was is a mystery.
