The brilliant singer song writer John Prine has died aged only 73 although he had been ill for some time.

Whether like me you love country music or not I just wanted to share this song with you. It’s typical of him and really good fun.

It’s about a man (with a nagging wife) who is able to travel in his mind to escape ....usually to the pub . grin

RIP John Prine

I don’t suppose many people in this country have ninathenana unless (like me) they are country music fans . Thank you for acknowledging my post though smile

gillybob - another C&W fan here and I loved John Prine's music. My favourites are Grandpa Was a Carpenter and Please Don't Bury Me.

But his best song ever is Angel from Montgomery as sung in a duet with Bonnie Raitt.

RIP brilliant JP.
