Although it didn't get a particularly good review in the Guardian I thought I would give it a go. It has been likened to Mare of Easttown, which I enjoyed.

Sheriff in blue-collar town investigating a murder. Some big-name actors. I really enjoyed it, so much so that I did binge watch it over a couple of nights.

Yes I also did a binge watch @ hopefully there will be a next series so we can find out what happens....the prison scenes were tough viewing so did a fast forward on those!

Interesting thread -I read bad reviews too.

I fast-forwarded through some of the prison scenes and through a couple of other scenes (even though I was on my own when I watched it). I think I've turned into my mother.

I hope there is another series as there were quite a few unanswered questions.

I don’t set much store by reviews. We recently watched Ad Astra starring Brad Pitt and Tommy Lee Jones and thoroughly enjoyed it but when I looked at reviews afterwards they weren’t too good. I will try this series when I’ve finished Guilt Series 2 on BBC iPlayer.

Enjoyed the series. Hope they do a second series so we can find out what happens.
