It was quite extraordinary, she was completely mad, trying to kill so many family members.

Apparently she had tried to kill her husband previously.

Poor children.

I haven't watched this but have listened to a podcast on the murders. It is an awful way to due, she is an evil woman.

When I watched the court case unfold, I thought - this has a film written all over it..
No script writer could have written a more astonishing plot.

She is quite evil and so naive. How could she hope to pass it as an accident?

What did the murderess dish up for herself? The relatives ate the beef wellington laced with arsenic. Just wondering! What a terrible way to die! Evil woman. Unbelievable.....

She ate the same minus the mushrooms! She had an orange plate but theirs were all grey so she knew which ones were poisoned. They all seemed such lovely people as well. So sad

According to the documentary, she ate the same as the guests but she claims she ate an entire chocolate orange cake the guests had brought, and felt so sick she vomited. Oddly, there were no grey plates in the house so the lead witness may be wrong about that (may crop up in her appeal), if he was wrong about that us he a reliable witness.

I found it hard to believe such an intelligent woman would have done this. I think her arrogance in court turned the jury against her.

Her ex-husband's claims that she'd tried to poison him were never brought to court.

The podcast ‘Redhanded’ covered this very well too. Interesting case, and so much evidence against her. The thing that would certainly sway my opinion, is the white trousers she wore on her, very brief, visit to the hospital. As a sufferer of IBS, I’d never wear white trousers (or knickers 😲 on a rough day) 😉

She said she'd been sick so maybe the diarrhoea wasn't that bad. My loose summer trousers are light coloured. Maybe she'd soiled darker trousers. Wrong coloured trousers for the occasion doesn't indicate guilt to me. Were questions asked at the trial about her colour choice?

The worst part was she scraped the mushrooms off the leftovers and fed it to her kids. What a risk.

OldFrill I think you have misunderstood Lemonred's thinking.
As I read it she wasn't referring to the occasion/light coloured trousers indicating guilt. Rather the choice of light coloured trousers if her gut was upset!!

She clearly knew she was not in danger despite going to the hospital as she refused to stay for them to run tests and was in no hurry to get her children checked out.

They each had individual wellingtons, like pies, There was a spare one as her ex-husband cancelled, that's probably the one she shared between the kids.

Lemonred said that wearing light trousers would sway her opinion - as to Erin Patterson's guilt l presume. It isn't something that would sway my opinion.
