I know the families were nearly always upper middle class, but it was still an entertaining quiz show and Robert Robinson was an excellent host. I used to love the picture round and the maths puzzles and how you could see how desperate some families were to win. We used to play along at home and always did quite well.
Interesting fact about Ask The Family: Robert Robinson wouldn't interact with the contestants before the show and only spoke to them brfiefly afterwards. This wasn't because he was unfriendly, just it was to avoid any accusations of favoritism.
