Long Lost Family. The future for IVF kids?

I watch LLF regularly and tonight’s prog featured a man who was seeking his half brother and half sister. His father was a Doctor who was already married with 2 kids when he was born to an unmarried nurse who brought him up. He then got together with a third woman and started a third family. How confusing.

It was very emotional as most similar stories are and some of the “seekers” suffer much sorrow and unhappiness in their lives which really affects them badly. Usually because they are never told the whole story.

Now that most young Mums keep their babies there are fewer for adoption so people are turning to IVF, same sex parents etc if they fail to conceive. I just wonder how this will affect them in the future. As small children kids just accept what they are told but as they get older they start asking questions.

I can see many of them being on LLF for many years to come.
