Do you feel increasingly lonely and lose trust in people after a divorce?

No, I don't have problems with men because it is one on one. But since I lost my school friends and my country friends from my youth and migrated, I have never learned how to find such deep intimate friendships ....all the people I met before meeting my husband were snippy, jealous, criticizing - I am talking international folk 20 to 32 in church youth groups. I closed my heart and since then do not allow strangers in it - not sure what to do about it

I have been divorced for 20 years. I too have been scarred by infedility and have not wanted another partner. Maybe I’m wrong. I am not lonely. I have a large family and lots of friends. However, there are times when I must admit, I feel I would like a companion to go on holidays etc. Having said that, I’m too old now .
You are probably much younger than me - make the best of it. And remember, not all men are the same. Hope you find the right one

Trust your own judgment ,take your time and pay attention to your feelings and what they are telling you.

Are you making friends first or only looking for potential partners? I think that looking for friendships may help.
