I've just sent for more details. We have nothing over here in the Swansea area which seems a shame.

Gransnet is soon to launch new 'local' sites where fellow gransnetters can chat and share information about their local areas - great coffeeshops, new exhibitions, nearby parks, recommended plumbers etc.

We are looking for enthusiastic, community-focused social bees to look after the sites and would love to hear from gransnetters who think they have the skills to do the job.

You’ll need to show local businesses the benefits of uploading their details to the site – and encourage them to advertise. It will also involve sending out a regular newsletter to users in your area, keeping in touch with them using social media and organising occasional offline meetups. You'll get to keep ALL the revenue from local advertising and on top of that will receive a small monthly payment for the first year.

If this sounds like something you'd be interested in and you'd like to know more please email us at [email protected] with 'Local Organiser' in the subject line.
