Hello all, hope things are going well, and if not, hope that you get the love and support you need.

Well, as some will know, I started a new job in April, after a long time searching (a few blips on the way, including the hated job at the caravan park for the chap with the awful teeth, but I digress)

I resigned from the new job on Monday.

Yes, I know that I should have stuck at it, 3 months was hardly long enough etc, but I have broken out in stress eczema, my GP is concerned that I'm heading for a , well you know what I mean.

I've been lucky enough to already get an interview for another job, so fingers crossed on that front.

So, basically ladies, this is a warning that I may be back on here spouting more rubbish!

Tell about it - it sounds interesting

Thank you all.

Yes, I've definitely got better about the driving thing, give me a satnav and an automatic (car, that is, not gun) and away I go!

Did have a few hairy moments though, when the satnav woman sent me down a very narrow road that had been closed at the far end with newly installed concrete bollards!

They didn't deserve you! Your health is much more important than any job. Many years ago I resigned from a job which made me ill. What a relief it was! I know you will be looking for another one and hope you can find one worthy of your talents and stickability. flowers

Don't push yourself too hard, phoenix - you haven't failed at all, the job wasn't right for you, and you did have doubts. Take a bit of time to mull things over...smile

Look on the bright side phoenix, I bet you've gained a lot of confidence driving around.

Met up today with John, who started the same day as me, to hand over the catalogues, brochures etc (they are like gold dust for South West reps, as the nearest point to pick any up is Enfield!)

Such a lovely chap, wished me all the best, big hug etc.

Meeting -Knobhead- Manager tomorrow to hand over the laptop, printer, fuel card & Blackberry, then have car company in the afternoon to pick up the car

So ends a chapter, thank god!

Next?

Sorry it didn't work out for you phoenix after all you went through to get the job too. But nothing is worth making yourself ill about. Let's hope you and the next one are a better match. Goody, more underwear malfunctions! grin

Glad you're back Phoenix. flowers Life is too short to stick with a job which you really don't enjoy, and that is bad for your health. Now you've freed yourself up to get something better. Sure something will turn up soon x

Eloethan Thu 11-Jul-13 00:41:05

It's certainly not worth sticking around in a job that is making you ill. Good luck with your interview.

Lilygran Wed 10-Jul-13 21:27:11

Good luck with the interview! Nice to see you back.

Nonu Wed 10-Jul-13 20:55:15

Hi to you , Phoenix .

Ariadne Wed 10-Jul-13 20:22:51

Good to see you back, Phoenix!

grannyactivist Wed 10-Jul-13 20:22:04

Sorry Phoenix, but I must confess my very first thought was along the lines of, "oh goody - she's back". Now I'm covered with shame at my total lack of empathy. Hope the interview is for a job that you will enjoy, that generates little stress - and most importantly allows you plenty of time to join us on Gransnet. grin
I've missed you and I'm sure others have too.

glammanana Wed 10-Jul-13 18:57:12

whenim64 Wed 10-Jul-13 18:54:27

What's wrong with these people, Phoenix? Don't they realise what is driving you away? Perhaps they just don't care about their employees, in which case your wellbeing comes first, and you've done the right thing. Nice to see you back! smile

Galen Wed 10-Jul-13 18:44:02

Good luck!

annodomini Wed 10-Jul-13 18:42:23

Better luck this time. Their loss is our gain, phoenix. I'm looking forward to reading more of your 'rubbish'. Could do with a good laugh.smile

Nelliemoser Wed 10-Jul-13 18:04:06

Phoenix Good Luck with the next interview I agree with other's. Its not worth doing a job you hate. I was there 3yrs ago when work was reorganised. I managed to escape to a hammer toe op and then retirement or I would have been a complete wreck. I was a partial one at the time.
Keep us entertained meantime! How are the cats? .flowers

Good luck with the interview - no job is worth making oneself ill over. Well done for making the decision.

janeainsworth Wed 10-Jul-13 17:51:24

Hope the next job is better Phoenix - console yourself with the thought that all experiences have some value, even the not so good ones - though it may be far from apparent at the timesunshine

JessM Wed 10-Jul-13 17:49:21

Big hug to you phoenix - hope this one will be a bit less travelling - but you gave it a go and "there must be positives" as they say, that you can take from the experience. I hope.
If not, make some up for the interview! grin

Ana Wed 10-Jul-13 17:48:30
