Re the comments, not possible at all until Wednesday, although I must admit I could really enjoy one right now!

There are a few wrinkles to iron out, with regard to sorting the transport side of things (looks unlikely to have a vehicle provided during the trial period) as ever it comes down to funds.

After the car saga with B & J, she did say that if ever they could help us they would, we could borrow one of their cars etc, but now that it's "real" so to speak, suddenly she really can't manage without it, it's got a slow puncture, etc etc !

But still, I remain convinced that all will be alright in the end!

I think a bottle of is the least you could treat yourselves to - how about a fizzy one?

LIke others no doubt - been there, done that and I think I know exactly how you are feeling!
After a longish period out of work DH started a (temporary) contract which in its way lasted nearly 9 years, but the first time I saw him coming out of the office, there was a spring in his step and he looked 10 years younger. No more resigned but keeping upbeat - just doing what he actually enjoyed and self confidence and self-respect restored.

So pleased for you Phoenix, and good luck with your interview too
