Sometimes Phoenix. People start a new job and discover it's not for them or the employer discovers this new employee is not right for the job. It does happen and I wonder if you think it would be worth emailing the company in Bude just saying you would appreciate them keeping you in mind if a position arises. I don't know the situation as you do but I am just thinking out loud.

However, pleased to hear your always, very positive attitude.

That is good if you have applied for a couple more jobs. At least Mr.P starts his new job on Monday which is great. I agree with kittylester and I am ever hopeful that you will be snapped up soon.

Afternoon all,

just had a very nice email from the chap re the job in Okehampton. I didn't get it. To be honest I'm not overly disappointed, unlike the time I didn't get the one in Bude that I really really wanted!

Found a couple more today that I have applied for, so all is not lost. Plus, there is still the other one that I interviewed for. Popped him an email saying how nice it was to meet him and his wife and asking when they might be making a decision. He left a voicemail on my mobile saying that they were very impressed by me (nice!) but still had quite a few people to interview.

Onward and upward!

I don't know how I missed this thread until now! Great news, hope it leads to a permanent position.

Not long back, both seemed to go well, pros and cons with each (of course!) The second one was interviewing 4, will make a decision by the end of the week. Forgot to ask the first one how many and when but he did ask me if I might be able to help him with writing his autobiography!

Luckily I was able to move the second one forward a bit, as that was further along in the same direction as the first, and it seemed silly to go home and then out again.

Could absolutely murder a glass of wine!
