The Edinburgh trams are currently being road tested by day (until now they have only allowed out at night) and on 13 March there will be a test at the Murrayfield tram stop of the management of a match or event.
Up to 1,000 volunteers are needed to form a crowd.

Volunteers need to register by sending an email with their name to [email protected] by Monday 10 March.

(It is not stated whether they need to act euphoric after a victory or homicidal after a defeat grin )

Are you going to volunteer Elegran?

I have done so. They will let me know later whether I have been successful. I hope I know soon so that I don't plan anything else for that day. I quite fancy a close look at the trams, though the company of 999 other people could make it a bit crowded.

I wonder whether I should take along my shopping trolley, my brother's dog, and a few borrowed toddlers, to make it more realistic? Or carry couple of walking sticks and hirple about and get in the way? In real life their passengers will not all be agile and unencumbered.
